Re: Can not connect to Interactive Brokers

OMG !!!

It appears, It was and it still is a DNS problem of comcast.

Noticed this post  : Mass.gov domain not resolving using Comcast DNS

So, I changed my DNS servers on a seperate router to OpenDNS and now things are working fine.

Now, I wonder I wasted all my day figuring out what was wrong, was put on hold for so many minutes and got no real answer to the problem from customer support.  Just was asked to pay for Signature support because their DNS servers are not working.

This is a nice forum, my problem solved by looking at other threads, I should have come here earlier.

thanks

Re: Can not connect to Interactive Brokers

The post you were referring to was in relation to a DNSSEC issue resulting from an improper key rollover by the domain operators for mass.gov. That is not within the control of Comcast, but we do make every attempt to work with domain operators to correct their issue. If you want to learn more about DNSSEC and Comcast DNS news, please visit http://dns.comcast.net.

Thanks,

FWIW, in the longer run, it is best to use the ISP's default DNS servers in this newer world of CDN's (Content Distribution Networks) and streaming video servers for best results.
