I have been using Skype for overseas and domestic calls with this computer on a COX provided cable and have moved and hooked up to comcast. Now when I connect to Skype and make a call it works for 5 to 10 seconds then dumps! Is this just a Comcast problem?

You should be able to use Skype without any problems. So since you are having a problem, you need to figure out what to fix.
Could you please check out the trouble-shooting suggestions at the top of this forum?

Are you having any issues with general browsing and/or speed inconsistencies as well ? We need to see some data as pointed out by BethKatz. Please start there.
