So I recently transferred service because I moved. Since then I have been having trouble with the Comcast "Captive Portal." Oops! Activation Incomplete! I tried to go through the process myself, but it errored out on me. I called a support rep and he did it for me.
After that I was able to get online, sort of. Once I got my router hooked up, the captive portal came back. After some trouble shooting I was able to figure out what was causing the portal to come back. I run an adblock software on my router, it strips the adverts from webpages by blocking IPs to advertising servers. When I have this on, the Captive Portal grabs me. When I turn it off, I get through without issue.
Now obviously, turn it off is the simple fix. But this isn't ideal. Any suggestions on this?
