Today I came across the "data usage meter" feature on the Comcast website. It's showing I have two devices but as far as I know, I only have one, which would be our one and only modem, I assume...? It gives the numbers of each device, and one says "MAC" -- there's no Mac here. Admittedly I understand very little of this kind of thing, and if anyone can give me an idea of what this is about, I'd appreciate it! Thanks.

"MAC" = Media Access Control (Google for info if you like) number and has nothing directly to do with Mac / Apple branded computers or equipment. That said, you would be better off calling this issue in to get it straightened out. This is primarily a customer to customer type help venue.

Thank you, and also to Reasd on the other thread. Makes perfect sense. I had completely forgotten that when they came out to add our phone for the triple play, they replaced the modem. Duh. I'll call them and have them delete the old one. Thanks.
