Wasn't really sure where to post this but was wondering if anyone had any idea why so many outages lately?
Last cable and internet went down 8 times in one day and then 2 times a few days later. Yesterday it went down 4 times as was out from noon til 7pm then out again this morning but up for 25 mins and down again.
I finally went to a motel or I would not be able to get online now.
I work and go to school on line so the internet is very important to me. I can live without cable and rarely even watch it but this is nerve wracking since its my lively hood. The Galesburg IL area has no other cable company and few options so we must stay with Comcast. I have had no problems until lately but I really do wish something could be done before hang myself.

I can not say that any of the Reps were ever rude , they have been very nice and the cable guy shows when scheduled. My complaint is the outages we are experiencing in this area.. 8 times last wk in one day. twice a few days before and the day before yesterday it went down by noon and came up at 7pm and went down again the next morning . It is on now but i live in fearf of it going down. I do everything online.. I bank, I shop, I work, I go to school , I have a love life LOL ( kidding on that part) but i need the internet. I dont care about the cable tv part, I am not a TV person so its doesnt make a difference to me but the internet does.

We wouldn't have any info on local outages. That does seem like a lot tho. Are you sure it's a system outage and just not a problem at your house?
Connection and trouble shooting tips (How to check signal levels.) . Info you should post to get help.

I had to connect using a mobile wifi from my iPhone and the stupid comcast page says both my internet and cable are both up and fine. well neither one is.
for those that are having a lot of problems with internet connections and really depend on it, consider getting a smart phone or an air card. I've never heard of those not working!
