Modem IP address

I had an RCA modem which I was able to see if everything was functioning properly by looking at its IP address. Comcast switched my modem to a Scientific Atlanta DPC2100, and would like to find out the way to access it via IP. Does anyone know the IP? Thanks.

Re: Modem IP address

The DPC2100 should be visible at http://192.168.100.1 just like the RCA. You may not be able to get to the other pages depending on what Comcast put into the config file for that model, but you'll know as soon as you try. Some guy at BBR had a similar issue on Adelphia:

I didn't look any further than this.

Re: Modem IP address

The IP address does not work at all using FireFox, I will try using IE.

Re: Modem IP address

Using IE I am able to see the Receive Power Level as being -4.7 dBmV and the receive level as 41.3 dBmV But other pages not available. My RCA I could see them all including the log.

Re: Modem IP address

By default, that modem doesn't allow you to look at the other pages, Comcast has to enable that in the config file. Looks like they haven't. Single levels are probably the most important items there, so it's good you can see them.

No idea about the Firefox vs IE issue is. I can use either to see my Linksys modem. Perhaps the SA has some sort of imcompatability with Firefox.

Re: Modem IP address

Shame can't see other pages, but seeing the main is important.
