Modem replaced now I have no WIFI at more than 2FT from the modem

what gives......? I am so disgusted with Comcast.... I really don't know what to do any more......

first my connection was dropping constantly every few minutes on the gateway modem....... they changed the box out yesterday.... and my previously working WIFI ... will not connect when I am 2 ft from the dam modem.

the light disappears and then comes back on blinking....... constantly.......

for the last 6 months I have experienced nothing but problems with comcast and its equipment....... but some wireless techs want to advise me to pay them to troubleshoot a problem that is a COMCAST PROBLEM......

they are sending me a new box that is suppose to arrive on Friday........ but who cares right...... I am tired of all this box switching..... and experiencing a different problem after each technician and switch......

Really.......what am I am struggling to pay for every month.... a damheadache?

sorry but I get frustration and headaches for free....... right now I need what I pay for to be working.....

Thank you very much

[ Edited ]

Is this a wireless only problem or do hardwired connections to the device do the same thing ? What do the modem's signal stats look like ? Please post the *Downstream Power Level*, the *Upstream Power Level*, and the *SNR* (Signal to Noise Ratio) numbers.

What is the exact make and model number of the device ?
