Netflix connection problem

I'm been having a problem, which just started recently, connecting to netflix. The video will start loading, and get to 7%, and a N8106-106 error occurs. The error says I have an Internet Connection problem.

After numerous calls to netflix, they say the problem is my Comcast Connection.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Re: Netflix connection problem

In order to capture your modem stats:

Open your browser (Internet Explorer or Firefox etc.)
Type the Modem Address in the Address Bar. (192.168.100.1) and hit Enter.
Navigate to the Signals Page
Highlight the information . Hold Left Mouse button down and drag the mouse across the information.
Right Click the Highlighted information
Left Click "Copy" (This will copy the info into the Computer Clipboard)
Then create another Reply here in your thread and right click in the thread and then left click on Paste

Re: Netflix connection problem

Ensure Silverlight is up to date

Otherwise, clear IE's stuff:

IE | Tools | Internet Options | Delete... | uncheck "Preserve favourites...data" | check everything else | hit Delete

This is the orginal modem I purchased when I subscribed to Comcast ~8 years ago -- How can I purchase a new up-to-date modem?

Re: Netflix connection problem

[ Edited ]

The downstream power [14.6dB] is very high and out of spec.  This may be saturating the front end receiver of the modem with RF and causing your problems. Perhaps you should consider booking a tech visit to investigate and correct before you think about a different modem although an up to date DOCSIS3 capable modem would be a good thing !

Re: Netflix connection problem

I know this is an old question, but I just recently had this problem and could not find a solution on the internet, so I'm posting the solution I discovered to help others that have this problem:

I had this problem even though I was connected to the internet and everything else worked fine. I was able to get Netflix working by: Open Control Panel. Select Internet Options. Select the advanced tab. Scroll down to the Security section (about 70% of the way to the bottom). Deselect these two items: Check for publishers certificate revocation, and Check for server certificate revocation. This was the only way I could get Netflix to stream (I stream via Windows 7 media center).
