I've had the same issue for several months now with brutally slow internet. I've been on the chat and done all the rebooting to no avail. Comcast said the modem was good so I do not know what the problem is. When I go on WiFi elsewhere, there is no problem, so it is not my computer. The speed tests are averaging 1 mpbs or less which is unacceptable. I'm going to cancel my internet. Not worth 55 dollars a month. Anyone else having the same problems in Sarasota?

Same here in New Jersey. It's horrible. I getting ready to drop Comcast all together.

I had similar issues and I'm in Sarasota (in Palmer ranch area). I called Comcast and they advised me to unscrew the cable from the outlet and reconnect to remove the static. It seems to have helped. Please try that.

We have the same problem here in Southern Delaware.  Tech came to the house and fiddled around.  It was better for about 2 weeks.  Back to the same problem now.  Can't wait for FIOS to come to town!

my community has filed a class action lawsuit against comcast, for false advertisement and failure to deliver promised services. Our internet speeds are ridiculously slow and comcast has done nothing to fix the problem other than to blame the customers. Advertised speeds are never even approached in our area. My "performance package" (what a freaking joke) maxes out at speeds of 4mbps download and 900kbps upload with pings ranging from 150-400 ms.we are in VA

while im not taking comasts side on any of it  try to remember  that everyone that is on comcast service  is on one giant network   also calling in every so often to get ur modme refreshed may help but it is not guarenteed to solve the problem  also florida  is a realitity new market and their is several bugs thats are being worked out with that

Just face it, comcast sucks. Rather then investing in infrastructure so the network would run they are busy boosting their stockprice and wages for upper level managment. I had comcast and bellsouth as back up. We bellsouth is my mine now and Comcast is gone.

Every day like clockwok at 4 pm the internet came to a crawl. i plugged into my bellsouth and it was working fine, so no issue with my PC.

Most people get home at 4 and go on the net and since Comcast tiny puny little network can`t handle 50 people on the same block being on the net at once it crawls.

Get rid of it. My DSL is faster than Comcast.

Our internet started slowing down at about 6:00 PM EDT today.  Since then, it's been slow for HOURS!!!  I can't even connect to Xfinity Connect Inbox or check e-mails no matter how hard I try!  Even the Speedtest is not working!  This STINKS!!!  When will Comcast fix the Internet speed again?!  :catsad:
