No Jim, no Email...I had seen word that it was due on 3/4, so I just reset this morning to see if it had arrived.

Re: Speed Upgrade

Live in SE Michigan-got email today from Comcast of speed increase.   I have Blast service with a modem that is rated one star (Motorola SB6120.   Comcast tells  me if I move modem to a three star (SB6121 from motorola) rated I will increase speed-what do you think-spend the $80 bucks??

That's baloney... There is virtually no difference between those two modems. FWIW, I wouldn't use either one of them.

The moto SB 6120 is Docsis 3 with 4 downstream channels, the newer models do have 8 downstream channels such as the SB6141.

That said the 6121 is pretty much the same as the 6120. Your modem should easily cope with the upgraded Blast! speed, so you shouldn't have to upgrade it just yet.:smileywink:

Just to Echo EG....:smileylaugh:

You may benefit by using an 8x4 (eight down - four up) multiple bonded channel capable modem such as the Moto SB6141 or the Zoom 5341J (note the "J" model). These may deliver better performance especially during times of peak internet usage due to the fatter download pipe that they provide. There is more bandwidth for all users on your local to share thus helping all get their subscribed to speeds more reliably / consistently.
