I recently upgraded from Performance to Blast and the http://speedtest.comcast.com isn't showing any difference. Comcast told me the order should go through today (6/8).
I have a DOCSIS 3.0 modem that I upgraded to a few weeks ago. It's the Motorola SB6121 that's listed on Comcast's compatability list with 3 stars. It's not my hardware.
Am I just not waiting long enough? How long should it take?

What does this tool say ?
http://www.cc.gatech.edu/~partha/diffprobe/shaperp
Post the results.
Have you properly powercycled / reset the modem ?

I had already ran the Shaper Tool before I upgraded. It's still giving me the same/simular results as before.
Power cycling my modem was the first thing I tried before I posted. Made no difference.
If interrested here are the ShaperProbe results from today. I should be getting 30/6 with Blast. The Serformance should be 20/4 but I always got around 25/4

Try going into the modem configuation page http://192.168.100.1/ then click Reset All Defaults > then click Restart Cable Modem .

That's cool, didn't know that existed for my new modem. Unfortunaly restarting the modem from the web interface didn't make any difference.
I'm going to call Comcast and verify my service. What they say will happen and what actaully happens isn't always the same thing.

Owell worth a shot . Good luck

Yep. It looks like you still have a 16/2 (sustained) config file in the modem. If you don't get any satisfaction from the phone reps try shooting a private message during regular business hours to Comcast Steve here;

He'll get it done !

Well, I called Comcast and after bouncing from the first person to someone in accounts and then finally a technician. I do have Blast on my account. I was told that I should be getting 25 down and 4 up with Blast. What's really odd is I was already getting 25/4 with my Performance intenet. I was told that Performance was supposed to be 20/2.
So, it seems that I was already getting Blast speeds with Performance. I'm basiclly paying extra for nothing. I told the tech that I was better off downgrading to Performance. When I mentioned this the guy suddenly said he saw an intermittent connection issue with my line and has scheduled a tech to come out an fix it.
The sad thing is when I go back to Performance I bet I'll start seeing 20/2 speeds on my connection. I think may have just screwed myself.
I guess the 30/6 for Blast listed on the website for my area code is fiction?

You were likely seeing Powerboost bursts. That's what's good about the Shaperprobe tool. It has the ability to differentiate between the sustained and the Powerboost assisted speeds.

So you are saying the speeds below from Shaperprobe are more acccurate than speedtest.net or speedtest.comcast.net because they don't account for Powerboost?
Shaping rate: 15922 Kbps
Shaping rate: 2053 Kbps.

Typically yes.

I'll have to see what happens when the guy comes out Sunday morning. I doubt the itermittent connection issue has anything to do with the speed. I'm getting what Comcast says I should be getting dispite what the website says. I get same results from http://spededtest.comcast.net as I do from http://www.speedtest.net of 25/4.
I guess If I want anything better than what I've had for the past 7 years I should look into Extreme 50. The website says it should be 50/15 but now I'm obiously going to be skeptical.
To bad Comcast doesn't have any real competitors in my area.
