You may be able to do this in your area. You would need to have them un-provision the combo voice modem (eMTA) for internet service and to provision the straight cable modem for it instead. It also depends on if your signal strength / connection quality is sufficient to allow for the extra attenuation / degradation that the additional cable split will introduce. Perhaps it's best to call in and inquire.
