How does CC use the technolgy fee ? How much is collected and how much is actually spent on technolgy ,or how much is actually pocketed. CC subscribers should know how this is being used. Does the customer benefit from this Whats next a 3D technolgy fee ?

the hd fee is a charge from comcast to give you the hd programming, (to receive the hd channels) the netwoks charge for that so comcast charges its customers. it is like any other fee comcast charges it doesn't go anywhere or get specifically used to deveop technology its just a fee like anything.

The HD Tech Fee causes a lot of misunderstandings. It is not an additional fee for having a high definition box, or a high definition TV. It is a subscription charge for the high definition channel lineup. It is built into a lot of the bundled packages, but if you just have a standard package, then that package does not include the high definition channels without the additional subscription.
