Bills are so royally, hopelessly, utterly, insanely and maddeningly screwed up.
You can't reach a human by phone without going through absolute torment of automated messages that have nothing whatsoever to do with the reason for calling.
When you finally get a human and 2 hours later finally have a promise that the bills will be fixed, the promise is inevitably broken and then you have to start all over again.
I am a hairs width away from unplugging the TV, phone and computer and sparing myself the heart attack that encountering constant incompetence and apathy can bring.
I switched from FIOS to Comcast because Verizon was hopelessly incompetent in their billing but Comcast rivals them now and so it seems like there is no good choice.

I agree, comcast has the most stupendus useless customer service, you can never get anything done from then, they take on all sort of charges on you bill and rip u off line no other.
DO NOT EVER GET COMCAST.

Thanks for commiserating! It's so exhausting to try to reach a competent person - who has time for this? I work hard for many hours a day and then have to spend what little time there is left trying to get Comcast straightened out? You know we all should vote with our feet and I am seriously considering just giving up.

I spent over two hours with a customer service rep on Thursday getting this way over charged bill looked at and she agreed with me the bill is way over the agreed upon amount now I look at the bill and find nothing has been done!!! I have looked into ADT home security and AT&T uverse service and at this time I am getting ready to drop all comcast services if your going to make an agreement with a customer to get things done at least try to do them it seems all I got was lipservice which doesnet work with me, the first techs that came to my house didnt know what or how to install the alarm system, they didnt even registure with the monitoring system so if my alarm went off the only ones to hear it would have been me...then they are charging me for 2 cameras when I only have one, then the billing is suppose to be broken up into 3 payments (the Camera $150.00 and the window/door sensors @ &68.00 each @ 4) they are trying to charge me for the origional 4 sensors (Suppose to be included in the origional order) this isnt the way to run a business if your going to offer a service then make sure your techs know what they are doing (two out of 3 didnt) then because of slipshod workmanship my alarm went off (the Tech (**using the term Tech loosely) didnt glue the sensor on my back door so it fell off and triggered the alarm now i am being fined by JSO (Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, Jacksonville Florida police dept) for a False alarm & now I must pay to have my alarm registured with them (NO ONE AT COMCAST TOLD ME ABOUT ANOTHER CHARGE FOR A ALARM SYSTEM THAT IS COSTING MORE THAN HIRING A PRIVATE SECURITY GUARD TO PATROLL MY HOUSE!) THE ONLY WAY I FOUND OUT THAT MY SO CALLED ALARM SYSTEM WASNT HOOKEDUP INTO THE MONITORING OFFICE WAS MY TOUCH SCREEN STOPPED WORKING SO I CALLED FOR A TECH AND HE FOUND THEY NEVER SENT MY INFORMATION TO THE OFFICE!) YEAH COMCAST IS GOOD AT BILLING (OVERBILLING) BUT NOT GOOD AT THE IMPORTANT THINGS LIKE KEEPING CUSTOMERS HAPPY AND FOLLOWING THROUGH WITH CORRECTIONS ON A BILL WHICH IS SO WRONG ITS AMAZING THEY STILL ARE ALLOWED TO DO BUSINESS IN THE USA! MY NEXT DOOR NEIGHBOR HAS GOTTEN THE SAME THING CABLE, INTERNET, PHONE AND SECURITY SYSTEM AND HE HAS THE SAME PROBLEM AND WE BOTH ARE READY TO JUMP SHIP AND GO WITH AT&T UVERSE + ADT HOME SECURITY AS FAR AS THIS BS BILL TAKE ME TO COURT AND ANY JUDGE WILL SIDE WITH ME SINCE YOUR COMPANY CANT SEEM TO GET A BILL CORRECT AND YOU EXPECT ME TO PAY, WELL I WORKED ON WALL STREET FOR 10YRS SO I KNOW ALL ABOUT BATE AND SWITCH CONS AND I FEEL LIKE I HAVE BEEN CONNED BUT YOU WONT RECIEVE A PENNY NOT UNTIL WE WORK OUT THIS BS BILL, I HAVE HAD IT WITH SLIP-SHOD WORK OR SERVICES...I AM GIVING COMCAST UNTIL THURSDAY THE 23RD TO FIX THIS BILL IF NOT THEN TAKE ME TO COURT CAUSE YOU WONT GET ONE RED CENT FROM ME...AT&T & ADT ARE SOUNDING PRETTY GOOD AS OF NOW LETS SEE IF A SUPERVISOR READS THIS AND GETS THE BILL FIXED!!!!

I totally agree!! I am so fed up I am about to take my business elsewhere! I have been waiting 3 weeks to hear back from a 'supervisor' about getting Transfer fees off my account that hasn't been transfered! Ridiculous trying to charge me $40 to transfer what hasn't been transfered! lol Still no reply..I tried an email complaint now so lets see if that helps...doubt it!

I know just how you feel! They promised me when I signed up that I could have my billing date be on the 15th of the month. Every month it comes out on the 14th instead, the day BEFORE my paycheck hits my bank account. They have cost me money in overdraft fees and every time I call they insist they can't change it. Can you spell fraud? Their customer service is a joke and their website completely sucks.

Try HDTV antenna for TV (it is free and I get 20 chanels in Seattle WA) and for internet search on Google what is available in your area. Anyting is better than Comcast. That company does not deserve anyones business. I purchased my HDTV antenna for $79 at Costco and paid it off in less than 1 month (Comcast used to charge me $ 89 a month for TV plus $10 HD fee, $10 HBO plus taxes etc and TV was around $105 a month. NOW it is FREE!!!!!!!!!! Sounds so good, best of all I don't have to deal with them any longer. Good luck!!

HA! i have been trying to resolve an issue since 10:00 today. it is now 5:28. comcast customer service is a joke. who has time to deal with them for over 7 hours?!! and they lie- they promise to credit your account and when you check, your credits have disappeared because suddenly they haven't been approved. don't promise your customers one thing and then turn around and go back on what was promised. they are deplorable

Yea, I was on hold for 3 different times and 3 different people messed up my service, making me pay more each month. then I was promised different compensations, and they have never got it right. It doesn't even matter to the supervisor that I was willing to go to century link, he told me good luck, and insulted me as if I couldn't do simple math. As soon as I can get something else, I will. I have never been so insulted. And with this economy you would think they would try to respect their customers, but they certainly do not.

They always adjust my bills perfectly. My only problems are the service and actually getting them OUT HERE to fix anything.

Thank you everybody, for writing and commiserating. Much appreciated. I will try the We Can Help folks. Honestly, the apparently deceiptful billing practices have me only several heartbeats away from contacting the Attorney General's office. If that's what's really going on, as opposed ot sheer incompetence, we really should weigh in with regualting authorities or nothing will ever get better...........Since I last wrote, Comcast has again unceremoniously shut down service (again without any bills being overdue) and wouldn't reactivate unless I paid more, this after I was assured by supervisors that no such thing would happen again, and certainly not during the one year period the rates were supposed to be guaranteed.
Take names, write down promises, record, record, record.....

Your completely Right, a customer service rep actually gave us a former customer's account number that owed hundreds of dollars on an account ,the rep SCAMMED us by giving us that account number and put our good name on the deliquent account. We still are having issues because of this FRAUDULANT act by Comcast employees. You just can't trust them and you need to watch them constantly. Net Zero offers a better and much faster service with their hotspot, I've had it for 2 months now and its super fast and very few billing hasle with them, only draw back you need the better data plans for downloading, but at least they are
a better company to deal with.

Still waiting for corrections to bill most recently promised by Corporate office on March 22. It is March 29 with bill due tomorrow. Just left phone message. Hopefully they will follow through as promised.
Incidentally, in the even bigger picture, what they did again was not cool. After rates have gone up and up despite promises to lock rate for a year each time (but refusal to put in writing) this latest time the bill got hiked by~ $15. After much effort and finally talking to corporate, they said they'd REDUCE by $12. That's actually an INCREASE of course.
Next stop - Board of Public Utilities. These folks do not play fair and all I ask for is fairness and honesty, sorely lacking. Why would a company not strive for this? We all need to ask why they won't put rate quotes and duration of rate IN WRITING so we don't have to go through this every couple/few months when the lock is supposed to be for a year, for example. So sad that it's so bad
