My agreed upon package was performance internet for 29.99/month for 6 months with an installation charge of 34.99(quite frankly i couldn't believe i was getting charged this with all the competition out there) with no contract. They installed it two days ago. They came in, hooked up a modem to an existing line. Plugged in an ethernet cable that also already existed and left. Total time not even half an hour. I got the bill today (WOW, that was quick!) and it was for $129 ????? Thy put a $99.00 installation fee on it? This kind of bait and switch crud is why i left comcast to begin with.

P.S. If I have to call billing and go through phone queues and get supervisors, and waste my time to fix their mistake for them, I won't be a customer next week, and FiOS will have another new one. How does Comcast stay in business with this kind of customer diservice. I can honestly say i've pretty much always been disgusted with their business practices. If the 29.99 deal weren't so sweet I wouldnt have done it, but the surprise fraudulent installation fee is enough to make me get rid of it during the initial satisfaction period. I will also be complaining to my borough council about Comcast's actions.

Welcome to the screwed club. I've been paying $152 and change for Comcast triple play cable, land line phone and internet which being on fixed income is a strain. Today the bill jumped to $179 for some unknown reason and if I accept that it will take food out of my mouth. My relationship with Comcast will probably end as I cannot accept this greed nor pay the extra tab.

Have any of you called comcast and asked to be put back into a promo or asked what's going on or do you just come here to a user to user forum and complain to eachother? For 300$ what are you ordering? be proactive about your service and call and complain.
The topic of this thread is initial bill. YOu're initial bill can be almost double what your real bill is as you are being charged from the time you order plus the next full month. If you are not posting about your INITIAL bill you are posting in the wrong place.
