Modem Rental Fee

Why am I paying $7 a month to rent a modem that retails at $59.99??

In 2 years I've paid over $800 for a $60 modem !

Re: Modem Rental Fee

You can purchase your own modem and not rent the modem.

Re: Modem Rental Fee

If you get your own modem. Walk rental modem through your local Comcast door. Get a receipt from Comcast with the modem name, model number, and serial number on the receipt. Keep the receipt in a safe place for the next 120 years. Comcast dose a very poor job of record keeping. This will keep you safe from having to pay Comcast for the modem, and they can not ding your credit.
