Why can't companies keep a normal billing rate? without stupid "promotions" used to deceive users and stupid pro-rated charges and confusing bills?

keeping my hand down as my bill never changes.

Im tired of comcast and I so wish there was another cable company we could use.I was told what my bill would be upon getting service, and yet they keep adding on to it,charges i dont understand and was never told about. i hate surprises and comcast is bad, nothing but problems and each customer service tells you something different and what was really bad is when the technician who installed my cable complained!

I am a university student, and after my May bill, my service went from $81 a month to $149 a month. One customer service rep said I had a six month plan, another said I had a nine month plan. But no one wants to give me documentation to show WHAT plan I actually signed up for. It was a bundle promotion -- no date on any of my bills, no indication that my bill would go up. Such poor business practices -- it won't change until everyone moves on to another provider. All they would give me is a $10 a month discount. So I cancelled. University students -- go with another provider. They should be giving you a 12 month program, but they don't. My parents have Verizon, and Verizon at least lets you know a month in advance, when your promotion will end, and the dates are on your bill, so there is never any question.

Comcast billing and technical service is extremely poor. Changed service, found out they have been billing me for 2 HD boxes and only 1 showed on the bill. Now a $131.00 monthly service is showing $206.00 due after 3 weeks of service. Sent them an e-mail but does not expect an answer. Sad thing is they have great reps in the service centre with no power to adress issues. Directv here I come...

Comcast billing is getting out of hands.I was billed incorrectly on May this year and after talking with billing department from Mexico things continue to worsen. I have been a customer of Comcast for so many years and for some reason comcast bundle for this month increased without notice. To my understanding this is a violation of Utility Commission mandate.

You are right, something is fishy about increase of charges without proper notice. My bundle has increase by almost $30.00 this month and I was told my bundle promotion has expired. Excuse me, I have been paying my bills on regular basis after one-year promotion and now billing department was saying my bundle promotion has expired. Comcast feels it has the edge and manopoly in service, they are wrong. Besides increased without proper notice is a violation of violation of state consumer act, federal FTC, state Utility Commission, etc.. I also discovered lately that Comcast is passing franchise tax levied by the city to the consumers and yet appears benefiting more.

Comcast increased with prior notice is subject to legal action. I am complete fed-up with ever increasing or incorrect billing.

Your question is the same with me. Comcast billing department is now claiming my service bundle has expired after so many years. I remember paying regular after one-year bundle promotion expired. I guess it is time to switch to other service provider or take necessary legal action. Increased in service fee is violation of federal and state laws.

Agree, Comcast billing sucks!
I just called the customer services for the $120 they charged me when I moved, then today they credit me half. In the billing it shows "residential trouble call"? What the....
