At what point are you stopped from proceeding? Which browser/version do you use? Have you cleared your cache or tried a different browser? How long has this been going on? Have you called 1-800 comcast yet?

I was unable to pay my bill online as well. I did call 1-800-comcast, but they couldn't give me any information and their billing department is closed. The error message I received after trying to pay my bill online with a visa debit card was this:
A system error has occurred. Please call 1-800-COMCAST to verify the status of your payment. Please do not attempt to resubmit the payment as you may be double charged.
I am going to wait until tomorrow & see if the money was either deducted from my account or else contact the billing dept. and see if they can give me any additional information.

Thank you. This sounds as though there is a problem with their Billing system. I would wait until Monday, then call them. Post back if this is NOT resolved.

I see that you and I share the same problem. I discussed my experience under the post entitled, "online bill pay" -- just like that in all lower case letters -- with that thread initially started by 'mickey8791'.
I thought it significant and peculiar in your post, because that error message was verbatim to the message I got in my reply when I was trying to make a payment. And, what stood out was that the problem you encountered happened on the very same day that my problem occurred. What time of the day were you attempting to make payment? I was trying to make payment on the Comcast.com website at approximately 2:20pm Central.
I was wondering, have you gotten yours resolved? I had called the Comcast customer service line three times already, and am still waiting. The last service representative was the only one to tell me that he was forwarding an inquiry to the billing department to follow up on this problem.
I have already called my bank, and the service representative there confirmed the charge went through, and was authorized. She also confirmed there were no holds on my account that would prevent charges to post. I took a screen capture of the error message and sent it to Comcast, early Tuesday morning.
Let's see how this plays out...

I have tried to pay online and each time system error comes up. It says to contact 1800comcast. I did and they said no online payment has been made. I also tried by phone and it was unable to as well. I talked to someone at comcast who said I need to wait 24 hours and try again. I asked if there would be an interruption in my service if I did this, she pretty much said there could be. I told her it seemed like an error on comcasts side and that pay by phone was the same way. It did not matter. Comcasts customer service is not very good. We could not resolve the issue and even though she told me to wait 24 hours, it was still a possibility I would lose my service. It is getting ridiculous.

I have been having the same problem. It used to work fine, but in the past few months it hasen't worked at all. Once I put in all my card info and hit 'Next', nothing happens. The 'Next' button stays gray so I can't click it again but the page just sits there. While I have been able to pay my bills over the phone, its been much less convinient.

Good luck! I have spent the last week waiting for this to get fixed too! My pay date is coming up fast and you would think they would want their money not deny there is an issue! I tried the cycle of clicks to get in listed before but it gave me the errror message to call Comcast. Ya right. So I clicked on Infinity from a google search by mistake. It said if I was trying to pay my bill on Comcast to "click here." So I did and it redirected me straight to the bill pay section and my bill was showing. I paid immediately with my credit card and it went through. I printed out the confirmation number just in case though for the first time ever!

I have not been able to pay my bill for the last year without multiple attempts. I spent 45 minutes trying to get through on the phone to speak with someone all to no avail. I'm going back to paper bills.
