When is Comcast going to add BBCamerica HD?

It depends on the location.  We've had it for some time in Seattle.

Connecticut has it on Cox Communications thats all i know... again my concept maybe be the answer to your problems but call 1-800-comcast otherwise and let them know you want something as well

What area (city and state) do you live in? I have it on channel 114 here in Philadelphia.

I'm in Redwood City, CA.  We have the regular BBC America feed, but not HD.  My TiVo thinks we have the HD channel, but according to the Comcast channel offerings in my area we do not have the HD version.  I'd love to have that added to the lineup.

What do you have on channel 810? I am showing BBC America HD in Redwood City on that channel.

My TiVo thinks there is BBC America HD on 810. But there is no picture broadcasting there.  The website of Comcast channel listings in my area also doesn't indicate that we have a BBC America HD channel (it isn't listed for any level of service, so it isn't like I need to get a super-premium-ultra-plus cable lineup).  Maybe it's a future addition...  It's a bit frustrating to know it's out there for other users and to see a channel dedicated for it already, but not to have it.

I am told that the channel BBC America HD is available now in your area on channel 810. If you can send me your address via a PM (Private Message) I will ask that someone at the local Comcast office take a look at your account and begin to troubleshoot your issue.

Thanks for sending me the address via PM. I responded via PM but I wanted to also post the answer here:

So mega-apologies as it appears the local Comcast market had bad information around this that I perpetuated. The cable lineup for Redwood City is fed from our San Mateo facility.

As you correctly surmised, your area does not currently have BBC America HD.

Some good news is that BBC America HD is scheduled to be available in your area in the fall.

The local system needs to go through a bandwidth reclamation project over the summer that will free up channel space to be able to add BBC America HD and other HD channels in the fall.

JMiller1985, the current schedule for your area of Connecticut has additional HD Channels slated to be added in August. The final list of these new HD Channels for your area has not yet been finalized. There will be some detailed customer communication out prior to the new channels being added.

My bill says this is coming, but it's about as clear as mud as to when and what channel.

So, tell me what channel BBC America HD is going to be on in Chester County, PA and when we're going to get it.

I have the HD Premier XF Triple Play package.  My bill shows channel numbers I don't get, so why doesn't someone clear this up?

Oh wait, its Comcast, that won't happen.

You mean the SD channel.  There's no HD version, and that's what all of us want.

I had it on Time Warner in North Carolina.  Top Gear in HD is much better.

As reported BBCA HD is available on many Comcast systems since 2011.
