Deleting recorded (DVR) programs

I am unable to delete a movie I recorded on my DVR. It simply won't go away. Suggestions?

unplug the dvr, wait two minutes, plug back in , when the data starts to reload and your recordings show up you will be able to delete it.  Keep this tip in mind as it works for most issues with the dvr's its the first thing to try
