It is my opinion. US is free country I can say whatever I want. MLS sucks.

Please do not post anymore if it is just going to be ignorant comments like that. We love our MLS soccer here, don't like it? Move!

By European standards, MLS is a second division league. If the MLS bigots want to show me a quote from a top American player claiming that it is a first division league by European standards, I'll be willing to listen. If all they have is the American flag and their egos, forget it.

From the guy who said, "People always complain." What a troll. This is about getting channels to watch soccer in HD, not how ignorant you can be, save that for 4chan.
I love my FSC-HD, too bad they don't show more MLS, watching EPL games from years ago is pretty pointless.

YESSSS! Chan 924 FSOCHD MA got it at last!!! FFS about time! RIP to all the victims btw.
07-22-2012 09:07 AM
Well, that's it. I'm done with Comcast (Chicago) and waiting years for them to come up with FSC HD. I kept calling them and calling them, but it seems like they don't have any intentions of getting it. And the fact that you pay extra for that package makes it even more ridiculous.
They are deaf to thousands of requests from many football fans to add a single tv channel in high definition. I don't care what the procedure is - Comcast have no excuse at all.
Got Directv installed yesterday and FSC looks beautiful in HD. And some other football channels too!

Mnemon1c:
Where in MA? I'm in Boston and left for DirecTV, but not thrilled with the experience and may comeback to comcast if/when they get FSCHD.

07-27-2012 12:58 AM
I got FOX SOCCER CHANNEL in HD when I checked it out today.... I was in disbelief... now waiting for GOL TV to go HD
BTW: I live in Attlebro MA
07-31-2012 01:47 AM
Why are you waiting for GolTV now that they have lost their programing? Watching dry paint in HD is not that much of an improvement over SD.
What you should be waiting for is for Comcast to place Bein Sport 1 & 2, so you can watch the top two teams in the world playing in La Liga.
07-31-2012 02:02 PM
How about why do you want FSC in HD? They lost there rights for Serie A and are about to lose there rights to the EPL. Basically FSC will only be showing the Argentine League and Gol TV will be showing only The Brazil League. Enjoy Comcast users.
07-31-2012 04:55 PM
Yeah, now that FSC has lost a lot of TV rights I'm thinking I should focus on beIN sports. Chances of Comcast adding beIN are slim to none. Chance of Comcast adding beIN in HD....zero point zero.
Maybe I'll just be able to stream directly from them to watch Serie a and then I can drop the sports package altogether.
07-31-2012 05:20 PM
FSC has EPL TV rights in the USA through the 2013 season, so at least 1 more year of EPL on FSC HD. Enough Acronym's?!
08-01-2012 12:05 AM
Your point about FSC probably about to lose the Premier League rights next year is certainly valid. I would not be surprised if Bein buys them for their collection. However, at least for now, FSC is essential viewing thanks to the Premier and the Champions League.
As for your prediction that in the future we will be watching Argentinean futbol in FSC vs Brazilian futbol in GolTV, don't even joke about it. I will get Bein whatever I have to do. With the exception of a few players you could count in one hand, all South American footballers worth watching play in Europe. My time is precious, I can't afford to waste time watching wannabes....
08-01-2012 05:28 PM
Normally I wouldn't argue the possibility of FSC being sold. But think about that for a minute. Fox would essentially be transacting with Al Jazeera. Why do I have the feeling Rupert Murdoch would not be keen to this transaction? ![]()
If beIN can't crack any of the major providers, it seems like they might want to make a run at buying GolTV.
08-02-2012 02:07 AM
I agree that the easiest thing to do, what I would have done, is to buy GolTV. But Al Jazeera.decided to do it the difficult way.... ?!?
As for buying FSC, i don't think they would want to. If they take the Premier League rights and the Champions League... FSC would be dead. Why would you buy an expensive corpse when you didn't buy a cheap one?
08-02-2012 02:27 PM
Please give the DC/MD/VA metro area GOLTV in HD so we can watch da Bundesliga!
08-03-2012 11:45 AM
I am in Quincy right next to Boston and Fox Soccer still did not show up in HD. Is this a bad sign? I figured it would show up at the same time.
08-03-2012 04:58 PM
So...is there any way to encourage Comcast to get BeIN so that we can get La Liga?
08-04-2012 08:59 AM
Encouraging Comcast? Hum...
The problem is that we need numbers. My guess is that it would be easier to pressuare them to get Bein 2 (in Spanish) for the Latino package. That's at least in the short term.
The challenge for even that to happen is that most people who want to watch La Liga are under the impression that they are going to be able to see it just like last season. They have no idea that some radical changes have happened. You can't protest if you don't know there is stuff to protest about!
My guess is that La Liga will have to start and these people will start hearing results of games and slowly start wondering how come GolTV or ESPN Deportes didn't show those games... And then they will start digging and realize how incomplet the Comcast Latino package has become...
08-05-2012 03:50 PM
What about the non spanish speaker? It would not make sense to get the channel only in spanish...There is a lot of Italian soccer fans in the USA and I am sure they want to watch Milan or Juve every week. Those people will never buy a latino package...
08-06-2012 12:29 PM
Hey, Seasoc,
I'm not saying that is what Comcast should do, I want you to see your Serie A in English. I'm saying that since, right now, Comcast is not providing Bein for anyone... the customeers that might have a chande to get Bein first (as Bein Sport -2) are the ones with the Latino package, many of whom, like me, got it to watch La Liga and the current two top teams in soccer.
If I were Comcast I would, of course, provide both Bein-1 & 2. That would be just the logical thing to do. But, in a logical world, when you are paying for several hundreds of cable channels you would think that one of them would include the very sports teams you want to watch.... but that would be in a logical world, in a Comcast world...
08-07-2012 11:52 PM
please does anybody know if we are ever going to get fox soccer channel in hd in mobile, alabama. Other comcast cmpetitors provide it .
08-08-2012 12:05 AM
please comcast ted, tell me why here in mobile alabama we don't get fox soccer channel hd but we get all other sports channels in hd. all your competitors provide the channel in hd, why please.

I'm in the same boat, here in Chicago... I may be jumping ship to Directv very soon... No FSC HD, no FSC+ (SD or HD), no GolTV HD and will never, ever see beIN Sport USA on Comcast...
08-11-2012 07:47 PM
So, I got my bill in the mail today, and it said effective 8/15 there will be three channels added: PAC 12-Bay Area (ch 433), PAC 12-Bay Area HD (ch 823) and PAC 12-national (ch 434). Effective 8/30 they will add ESPN Goal Line (ch 428). Note that I'm located in Sonoma County, 45 minutes north of San Francisco.
Where is Fox Soccer in HD? This is rediculous. Concidering how much I'm being racked over the coals for what I do get, I still can't get what I want. EPL season starts in a week, and anything on FSC is going to look awful.
08-12-2012 05:01 PM
Any dates when we can receive the HD service for FSC?
Any dates when can we subscribe to Fox Soccer Plus?
I am inquiring about the North west indiana region
08-13-2012 11:06 AM
Unfortunately, I recently moved into a building in downtown Chicago where Comcast is my only option. Apparently, I should have done some research before moving here; I never would have imagined that in one of the largest cities in the U.S., any cable provider would consider not offering FSC and FSC+ in HD. I can't wait until my lease ends so that I can move to get away from this joke of a company.
It is ridiculous that we have to visit this forum to grovel to this company to try to convince them to add channels that should be available by default.
In my previous building, I had Directv and was perfectly happy to pay for the sports tier (plus the extra $15/mo for FSC+) in order to have access to FSC and FSC+ in HD. The fact that this isn't an option in Chicago, a huge city with a ton of soccer fans, is a complete joke.
Comcast, if your customers are spending time on this website complaining about the channel lineup instead of sitting in front of their TVs enjoying your services, that is pretty good indication that you aren't adequately serving their needs.

I stand corrected.
Boston does now recieve Fox Soccer in HD, since July. However, the customer service reps do not seem to know this as of yesterday when i called and asked for it. A small battle won. Now to fight for BEIN!
08-14-2012 10:59 PM
what channel number for FSCHD in MA?
08-14-2012 11:00 PM
could you tell me what the HD channel number?
thanks!

From what I see it's pointless to ask/beg comcast to add any channels. Chicago area does not even have FS HD and FS+ SD or HD, despite many, many requests from customers. If you like your soccer the only alternative is to switch the company. I know they don't care, but I don't care either, if they are or not. I'll just move on an that's it. The bad part is that some pople are stuck with comcast living in buildings/areas that have no alternative. I feel sorry for them, but for the rest I encourage you to switch ASAP. Don't be fooled that comcast will cave in following your requests and/or quit threats, they don't care, it's only business, and they are so big they can afford to lose you. Just my two cents, though!
comcast sucks! and lies! but mostly sucks! ... and lies!
08-16-2012 01:20 PM
I have FSC HD channel but it's blocked. I can view the standard channel but no the HD so when I asked comcast about it they said that I can only view the HD channel if I had signed up for a sports package. Anyone know if thise is correct. I live in San Francisco, CA. Cheers!
08-16-2012 02:45 PM
Yes. It's an extra 10 bucks.
08-16-2012 04:16 PM
Well, jungle states gives a bad connotation. I share your frustration. Compared to Boston most of middle america ranges from merely tolerating to outright mocking soccer, save for their mostly Latin minorites.
Then again, we don't have a real soccer stadium thanks to one old cheapskate that wants to drive his retail revenues out in white elephant 495-land development. It sucks.
08-16-2012 04:33 PM
I'm in Quincy. You're kidding me. I'm reading through this. Revere and Attleboro have FSC in HD, but we dont????
Comcast, stop this madness. I'll check later tonight, but make this happen ASAP.

So looks like Pittsburgh is actually getting FSC HD. I stand corrected.
08-17-2012 01:22 PM - edited 08-17-2012 01:23 PM
I live in Coraopolis (Pittsburgh) and noticed this morning that channel 919 is GolHD and 920 is FSC HD.
08-17-2012 01:27 PM
I live in Cambridge, MA and I started to get FSC HD from 07/19 at 924 among other HD channels in the 900 range.
08-17-2012 01:47 PM
In Chicago - NO FSC HD, no FSC+ (SD or HD), no GolTV HD and will never, ever get beIN Sport USA!!!
08-17-2012 01:54 PM
08-17-2012 06:06 PM
Confirmed: Quincy doesnt, Cambridge and Attleboro do...well, at least it's not completely arbitrary... oh wait.

Yes, glad you found the new additions, they were recently added in parts of Western PA. Thanks for your patience.

Comcast Ted - Any update on Chicago?
08-22-2012 03:50 PM
Seems to be the biggest demand for FSC HD in the Chicago area. Add me to the list. EPL has started and I was hoping for a last minute addition to Comcast. No luck, off to Direc TV.
