Thank you so much for posting that info. That's the same date Philly is getting the channel which leads me to suspect that more markets will get FSC HD on/around April 12th.
03-16-2011 04:39 PM
when are we getting fox soccer channel in HD. direct t.v already has it
03-16-2011 11:20 PM
can you post this new lineup, I would like to see it, I live in midtown, and Pooler, west Chatham, Hinesville already got it except us, Comcast's website doesn't show it yet. If not here could you post it in AVSforums Savannah or Comcast thread. Thanks

Still NEED FSC in HD in California. This is crazy, NFL, MLB and NHL all in HD, the last one is FSC. Where are you HD??? The SD channel is a joke, I actually bring up the menu, so on my 55" the picture is at least watchable in the small screen in the corner, LOL. Comcast fail....
03-17-2011 11:28 PM
That is funny, watching it in the menu screen! I'll probably end up doing that this weekend.
FSC in SD is crappy but GolTV on a big screen is almost unwatchable.

Broni,
That link is dead.
Broni wrote:If you're a soccer fan and you're a Comcast customer, please voice your opinion at I want Fox Soccer Channel in HD!
Let's see, if Comcast cares."

Yeh just like HD on FSC.................
03-20-2011 12:42 PM
It's a link to this very topic: http://forums.comcast.net/t5/Channels-and-Programm
03-20-2011 07:54 PM
Apparently, it can be done: http://www.brotherlygame.com/2011/3/13/2048949/com
"Comcast subscribers inside the city of Philadelphia! Starting "on or around" April 12, those with the $6.95 per month Sports Entertainment Package will see Fox Soccer Channel HD added to their cable lineup on channel 1512 (and GOL TV HD on channel 1513)"
"it's a good step forward for Fox Sports executives, who to this point had only managed to get Comcast to supply subscribers in Albuquerque, New Mexico with a high definition feed"
Google also finds this topic, if searched for "fox soccer channel in hd".
It's around 20th position on page 1.
03-21-2011 02:48 AM
This topic made me intrested in FSC in HD.
I subscribe to the sports package too.

The International games are on ESPN2 this week
03-24-2011 08:13 PM
That's irrelevant to this topic subject.
03-28-2011 07:25 PM
I have made up my mind!
Stop whining and begging. For the amonunt we pay we shall not beg Comcast. I am swtching to Dishnetwork.
03-29-2011 08:21 PM
Verison FIOS is reportedly adding FSC HD on or around April 14th. AT&T UVerse is rumored to be adding it soon as this Friday. If I hear anything more I'll post it.
04-06-2011 03:57 PM
SO FSC in HD in six days?
or will I have to wait fresno area here.
04-07-2011 01:15 PM
I just called the local Comcast office here in the Twin Cities. Pretty worthless except I got told that Comcast has "all the HD channels." I then listed off a bunch Comcast does not have including:
Fox Soccer HD
Fox Soccer Plus HD
GolTV HD
HDNet
HDNet Movies
Smithsonian HD
BBC America HD
OWN HD
Several premium movie channels in HD
Only to get... "yeah but we got it all" from him in response. After I just rambled quite a few Comcast does not have in HD.
04-07-2011 01:28 PM
demoman
Does St. Paul get Smithsonian Channel on SD?? If so all I can say is you lucky devil.
04-07-2011 01:36 PM
Smithsonian is an HD only network much like HDNet and HDNet Movies.
04-07-2011 01:51 PM
I just did a little research and supposedly AT&T U-Verse has it in SD. But with the programming offered HD makes more sense
04-07-2011 06:24 PM
U-Verse must be downconverting it to SD then.
In regards to FSC HD no word on when the Twin Cities market is getting it.

I registered just to add another vote/appeal for the FSCHD, FSC+HD, and GOLHD for the MD/DC market. It does look like Philly is getting it next week, along with others, so I have some hope that Comcast is finally listening to its customers. Most games on FSC are downconverted HD feeds with the sides chopped(you do miss 25% of what's going on) and GOLTV is just plain grainy. I specifically bought the sports package for these two channels(was hoping to get ESPND too, but guess you have to buy the whole spanish package for that). Maybe Comcast will offer a Soccer package someday(don't watch any of the other sport entertainment package channels). . .

Wouldn't it be a mire judicious and practical use of bandwidth for comcast to not broadcast channels in both SD and HD? One would think that they could supply set top boxes which could downconvert to SD for customers who don't have HD capable equipment.
SD channels don't use much bandwidth compared to HD. From my memory in the space one HD channel takes Comcast can fix about 8-10 SD channels.

04-09-2011 02:50 AM
3 more days fellas
hopefully Fresno area is a part of the area getting FSC in HD.
04-09-2011 05:19 PM
Our channels only go up to 999 in the MD/DC area, so maybe they'll be slotted in the 900s, if offered. You Philly pholk need to let us know if you actually get these channels Tuesday(in time for the 2nd legs of the UEFA semis).
04-09-2011 06:15 PM
04-09-2011 06:28 PM
Unless if the people at the Comcast offices here just aren't informed of anything I can almost guarantee that the Twin Cities market is NOT getting FSC HD any time soon.
04-09-2011 07:00 PM
Yeah because those Lifetime channels really are that vitally important... with all their content that can easily be put OnDemand.
04-09-2011 07:13 PM
Not to mention some "Live Well" (what the heck is it?), Food Network (it's very important to see every single potato in HD) and two Hallmark channels (anyone watched any movie on Hallmark channel ever?)
04-09-2011 08:27 PM
At least my irrelevance was about soccer!
04-09-2011 08:32 PM
All previous replies were right on subject.
We're simply pointing out, how Comcast has all those channels in HD, channels watched by nobody, but we can't get FSC in HD.
04-09-2011 08:35 PM
On a side note, if you put "Fox Soccer Channel in HD!" in Google search, this topic advanced to position #18 ![]()
Keep it going guys!
04-09-2011 09:42 PM
04-12-2011 02:46 AM
15 mins till FSC in HD goes live!
come on mama gimmie something good!
well if comcast doesn't add FSC in HD tonight at least I know that our Philly brothers have it and so does new mexico enjoy it guys! we get to see gols in wonderous SD in 2011. who'd thunk it?
04-12-2011 04:14 AM
Nothing here in the Twin Cities as of 3 AM CST as expected. Really pathetic Comcast. If Philly gets the channel in HD then the rest of us should. Simple as that.
04-12-2011 08:31 PM
04-12-2011 09:29 PM
Has any of the other new channels pop up yet?
04-13-2011 01:55 AM
Xfinity 3D poppped up over here another 3D channel.
Maybe tonight I will get lucky! FSC HD TONIGHT?
04-13-2011 02:01 AM
I'm not holding my breath on it happening soon.... but I'll be very happy if it does.
04-14-2011 03:35 AM
SAVspartan, I was wondering if you received those channels yet, cause I didn't.
04-14-2011 12:44 PM
So what's the word Philly?
04-15-2011 12:58 PM
NOTHING IN MARIETTA GA. BUT GOT FOX SOUTH HD??
04-15-2011 01:19 PM
http://foxsoccer.channelfinder.net/start.asp
here you can see what providered have FSC HD by zip code and also has a link for you to request it and Foxsoccer sends a email to your provider.. pretty cool.
04-16-2011 12:40 PM
Hands up who's enjoying the FA Cup semi-final in dazzling 420. Especially with the "HD Live" logo mocking you in the corner?
04-16-2011 01:15 PM
"Especially with the "HD Live" logo mocking you in the corner"
This is what especially drives me nuts!!!
