Seems to me that (and market watch) is that Comcast will be left behind (again).
http://www.marketwatch.com/story/champions-league-
Carry on with the food network in HD (after all, i forget, thats what most Americans are in to),
04-20-2011 11:26 AM
If that isn't a sign that Comcast needs to get FSC HD added to more system ASAP then I don't know what is. Really frustrating that we're going to be stuck with standard def with that CONCACAF finals game on tonight with Real Salt Lake in it.

I just prichased the MLS Direct Kick package, or I would consider looking for a new provider. I have hope that Comcast will add the HD channel this year, but I won't hold my breath.
04-29-2011 03:32 PM
COMCAST--Get FSCHD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As an absolute bare minimum, show all the games in wide-screen format, like you do Sky Sports News. That way, we at least get all the screen.
COMCAST--get into the 21st century.

Are there any plans to offer Fox soccer Channel in HD in the Houston/Conroe, TX market. It is advertised as available by FOX but we don't have access to it in this market.
05-05-2011 01:16 AM
So Fox Soccer is now putting an emphasis on Major League Soccer with their new "Soccer Night In America" campaign which will include an new pre/post game studio, slo-mo cameras, new on screen graphics, and other things. All these things in HD means nothing to me when Comcast still doesn't have the channel available to me in HD.
Yet I can watch reruns of the BCS on ESPN 3D. So much for Comcast carrying the most live sports in HD lol.
05-06-2011 10:52 PM
Washington state is next on getting Fox Soccer HD.
05-06-2011 11:44 PM
Just In Time For err...... well some MLS, all the better football leagues have finished by then
05-07-2011 02:28 AM
Oxygen in HD? really?
come on....we need big ten network in HD nobody nobody watches oxygen.
05-07-2011 10:54 AM
Well if Comcast gets it added here any time soon then I'll be able to watch those MLS games in HD.
05-08-2011 09:13 AM
It seems that Comcast is the only provider who does not have a FSC HD Fox Soccer Channel. It's a shame. I have to consider moving to another provider...
05-09-2011 08:40 AM
why do we need (2) HBO-HD 701 and 880???
05-09-2011 09:30 AM
Well, yesterday's Man Utd vs Chelsea is the last Fox Soccer "In HD" broadcast that I will have to watch in SD - the Verizon FIOS engineer is here at my house, hooking me up! Yep, FIOS has FSC HD...
I'm not for a second saying that FSC HD is the ONLY reason I'm switching service after 11 years with Comcast and its predecessors, but it certainly tipped the balance. I was fielding one of those annoying calls you get from Verizon from time to time, but this time they had something worthwhile to offer. And, of course, I will save some money for a while with a sweet starter deal, though I'm in no doubt that FIOS will learn to annoy me just as much as Comcast.
I am sure that FSC HD on Comcast is coming, since it has already been launched in Philly. In fact, it will probably be in place in time for next season. But if they cannot be bothered to give a schedule to loyal, patient customers, well.... you know.

What kind of moron merged two topics making my original topic link dead?

I live in Vancouver, WA and I read the Twitter that WA will be getting the FSC? I've already got all the other YAWN channels like Hallmark. FSC is the only one I don't.
Anyone know what channel number it'll be?
05-10-2011 10:57 AM
You'll probably get that info in your next bill.... or you could just ask on Twitter. ![]()
05-11-2011 09:30 PM
Couldn't agree more!!!! I'm ready to switch back to Verizon because of FSC and I just switched back to Comcast one week ago!
Comcast get it together!
05-12-2011 03:10 AM
I just got my bill online a moment ago. I got excited for a second when I saw the date 6/6/11 at the start of the news part of the bill....
Then got more excited when I saw the words "Comcast will preview...."
Then died inside when I saw it was another two lame shopping networks (ShopNBC and Jewerly). Exactly what we need MORE of on cable is shopping networks. Excuse me now folks I need to bang my head against an brickwall repeatedly at just how absurd it is that Comcast continues to find every excuse not to add Fox Soccer HD yet keeps adding worthless channels that NOBODY is watching.
05-12-2011 01:27 PM
The sad part of watching FSC in SD is that they still have the 'HD' icon in the upper right of the screen just mocking me! So, it seems like Comcast gets the HD feed, but will only carry it on a SD channel (401 for me). So, is it that hard to add the HD version of the channel and just pipe the same feed through it?
05-13-2011 01:27 AM
Any news on when we will get FSC in HD in the Bay area, CA?
Simon

I just wanna see WPS league games in HD is that so hard xfinity!?

05-15-2011 06:55 PM
OMG!!
05-18-2011 01:28 PM
I'd like to know this as well. Does anyone have any idea when we'll get FSC in HD in the San Francisco Bay Area?
05-18-2011 09:53 PM
Nope. Just contacted Comcast Live Chat Support. Standard replies.
>>There is no specific date yet for the new channels.
>>Comcast is working on it.
>>Yes,. There are some areas that HD soccer was already receiving.
>>We are working widely on our channels especially Sports channel
>>The best way we can do here is to make a request regarding your sports channel. So that it will help for the sooner launching of SF Bay Area? 1.) Fox Soccer Channel HD 2.) Fox Soccer Plus
Then the agent added my request onto their system. I suggest you do the same. Hopefully the more requests they get, the higher the priority.
05-19-2011 04:26 PM
San Jose/BayArea:
Not sure if all of you have to pay for FSC..but I do ($6.95, part of the sports entertainment package).
I cancelled it today...a) because the season I watch is over, b) other free channels carry some of the games in HD (ie ESPN2, comcast sportsnet).
As I was doing so they agent said they would be adding new Channels near the end of summer, and he thought FSCHD was one. I know, I know.......but just passing it on for those die-hard hopeful.
05-19-2011 05:57 PM
I've been getting the "coming soon" since the launch of Fox Soccer HD. So take whatever the rep said with not just a pinch of salt but a bucketload of salt.
05-23-2011 08:05 AM
It is a total joke that we don't have FSC or Goltv in HD when all the other major carriers (FIOS and the satellites) offer it and some cities like Philly have had it for months. Philly also gets other channels in HD like FEARNET that I don't even have available in SD, I don't understand why Comcast keeps adding horrible channels like the shopping, religious, and CSPAN in HD but I have to watch the sports package that I pay extra for in SD. Soccer in HD is so much better than in SD that it really should have been one of the first HD channels added but instead it is the last assuming we ever get it here in Maryland. Sometimes I wonder if Comcast really has any desire to keep my business. There is no way I'll put up with no HD for the soccer channels when the season restarts in August. After more than a decade with Comcast, it looks like I'll be moving to FIOS this summer because of this issue alone. Pathetic customer service from Comcast.
05-23-2011 04:58 PM
Amen.
05-23-2011 07:51 PM
It won't be any "Amen" until we'll get what we want.

Any news for a HD feed for the Fox Soccer Channel? Has one been established that I don't know about. Unfortunately I am still watching it in retro SD quality on a HD television.
Est. 1 billion fans of futbol (soccer) in the world and we have to pay an additional fee on top of our subscription for a gaming package to get such poor quality TV.
Edit: Nevermind, just read the update lower on the board. It looks like it if finally coming. When it will arrive for us soccer fans is now the big question. Hopefully sooner than later.
06-03-2011 01:22 AM
I am in Seattle area, and FSC HD just showed up on channel 618... woohooo!!!
06-03-2011 01:24 AM
WOW!
06-03-2011 02:02 AM
lucky guy! right before the gold cup!
06-03-2011 10:22 PM
Whose attention do we get in the rest of the forgotten markets? Email address, phone number someone?
06-04-2011 05:26 PM
You can search and then request the channel via the Fox Soccer website:
http://foxsoccer.channelfinder.net/start.asp
Also, call comcast and have them make a formal request for the Channel in HD in your area.
06-04-2011 05:29 PM
That will surely work...
06-06-2011 08:11 PM
06-06-2011 10:21 PM
want to pay less? call comcast ask to be switched to a customer retention specialist and tell them what you want to pay and boom there you go. Instant cable reduction, that is if you have any competition in your area
06-07-2011 03:17 AM
well uh Dish network seems to be really popular in my area. Neighbor has it neighbor across the street has it Neighbor across my neighbor has dish network. I think Im the only one with comcast. in my immediate area.
06-08-2011 09:49 PM
Portland, Oregon here!
I'm near about heading for DirecTV. Without any serious word as to the availability in a huge football market like ours, nevermind missing out on all the EPL, SerieA, La Liga matches in HD, it seems inevitable.
"You'll Never Walk Alone" unless waiting for FSC in HD on Comcast. Reds!
06-09-2011 01:38 PM
CONCACAF Gold cup soccer, awesome! Watching it in SD, terrible. Come on Comcast, the bay area NEEDS Fox Soccer in HD. We are trying to support our country, so you need to support your customers! FSC in HD for the Bay Area and all comcast customers, please.
06-09-2011 06:59 PM - edited 06-09-2011 07:10 PM
Gold Cup is in HD on Univision and Telefutura (which has USA v. Panama on Sat. night) on Comcast.
06-09-2011 07:12 PM
Well, same here, but I don't speak Spanish.
06-09-2011 07:24 PM
Yeah, it wouldn't kill them to put in English closed captioning or SAP for English. But either way Ill take HD over English commentary,
06-09-2011 07:27 PM
I think, this is simply ridiculous, that with English being an official US language, Spanish speaking people can watch FSC in HD, but we can't.
