Going to miss this even as well....
I saw that Fuel TV was on the list of Comcast contract renewals for like May and here it is again for July. I wish they would hurry up because I'm sick and tired of missing free fights.
07-11-2012 09:13 PM
How long will it take for them to do the right thing?
07-12-2012 06:37 PM
My contract is up tomorrow. :-)
07-13-2012 08:05 PM
I would love to add fuel tv
07-17-2012 02:45 PM
I would think there would be more info. But that is comcast but HEY PROFITS ARE UP!
08-02-2012 11:32 PM
Does anybody know if comcast in Salem, Or has plans on getting Fuel TV? I really really would love to have that channel in my area. I am missing a lot of UFC content because we don't have it in my area.
08-03-2012 08:32 PM
ComcastKeisha where are you. I see you posted
12-16-2011 02:48 PM
that you submitted this information to the correct department.
WE YOUR CUSTOMERS WANT ANSWERS!!! We want Fuel TV. Once again on Saturday night I will be missing
6 free fights including some of my favorites like Nam Pham and Manny. You guys need to get this stuff together
Contract Renewal page had Fuel TV up for June and July and we still have no Fuel. Should we assume that
you guys just don't care about the massive MMA fan community that unfortunately HAVE to be Comcast subscribers?
I would switch back to FIOS in a minute if it was in my area JUST for Fuel TV.
08-03-2012 08:37 PM
they do not care........

I want an update for area 23831 just like in this thread:
How come when I call Comcast they cannot tell me this information? I want to know when Fuel TV is expected
to be carried by Comcast. This is not a hard question to answer. You either have something scheduled at this time or you don't.
So tired of calling and asking and they tell me they can't see what updates are coming down the line.
Fuel is carried by Fox, one of the biggest networks ever. There is no way you are not aware of Fuel TV
and how you are screwing over your customers.
Go to www.fueltv.com and click the "Get Fuel TV" or w/e and type in your zipcode. PATHETIC that Comcast
is the only provider in my area that does not carry Fuel TV.
EDIT: Not only do they not carry the channel they can't even respond to customer complaints or provide
a timeline or any other information that would put their customers at ease.
08-03-2012 09:14 PM
I have had the exact same experence. I wish they cared 5% as much as they keep saying they do!

The only way to get Comcast to add Fuel TV is for tens of thousands of people to contact Comcast & request it & politely threaten to leave Comcast if they don't add the channel.
The contact person at the top of the ladder is the VP of Content Acquisition…
Greg Rigdon-Comcast Cable 1016 16th St . NW
Washington DC 20036-5702
Other contacts, like Program Directors, can be found on websites like…
www..comcast.com (at bottom, under “about us” click on “corporate info").
www.jigsaw.com at the top, in the search bar, type in “comcast program directors”
If anyone finds the phone #’s to good contacts, come back to this site & POST THEM!
Until then, write to them, email them, find phone numbers yourself & call !
Less effective, but still worth it, please do the following
Call Comcast & ask for the local phone # that is dedicated to taking channel requests. When you call the "Request Channel phone #", you will be prompted to leave a message. Leave a polite but firm message that you are going to switch to a satellite provider if they don't add Fuel TV very soon.
In Atlanta, the “Request Channel phone #", is 770-559-7680.
Also, I contacted UFC to let them know I am outraged that they left us loyal fans out in the cold by awarding the cable contract to a channel that is not received by most of their fans ! Even worse, UFC did not give us advanced warning so we could demand that Comcast add Fuel TV before the fact. What UFC did is low & dirty.
IT IS NOT ENOUGH FOR YOU TO TAKE THE ABOVE STEPS ALONE !
YOU MUST URGE MANY OTHERS TO DO THE SAME THING !!!
GET ON FORUMS, MMA SITES, SPREAD THE WORD TO DELUGE COMCAST WITH REQUESTS !!!
08-03-2012 11:19 PM
Great advice. I will move on it!
08-13-2012 12:22 PM
As the person who started this thread, just wanted to let you know that I am now a proud Verizon Fios subscriber. Fios has Fuel (wish it was in HD) and I'm enjoying the hours of UFC content on Fuel/

Upcoming UFC Event
Just to let all you fellow paying Comcast customers know, the next UFC event will be 'Struve vs. Miocic' on Saturday, September 29 @ 1PM/4PM — LIVE on FUEL TV!
You'll be able to watch FUEL TV at your friend's/family's/neighbor's who have DIRECTV, DISH Network, Verizon FiOS, or AT&T U-verse...NOT Comcast!
09-29-2012 03:16 PM
I just called and had them submit a request from me to add Fuel TV... doubt it will do any good, but if you don't try you will never know if it's possible.
09-29-2012 03:35 PM
I've done this twice via phone and once via online support over the past few months.
It's sad they can't even explain what the hold up is.
You know it's got to be about money.
09-29-2012 10:20 PM
Great event. So glad I switched to DirecTV. You should too.
09-29-2012 10:55 PM
I have sent 10 requests for comcast to add FUEL.TV and nothing. Comcast sucks.
10-05-2012 04:43 PM
COMCAST what are you waiting for? Please get the UFC on Fuel..NOW or I`m gone.
10-05-2012 05:28 PM
I'm not sure what part of this is hard to understand. NBC is Comcast is NBC. NBC is NOT Fox. Fox owns FUEL. I somehow doubt we'll see Fuel TV on Comcast in the near future. Local Fox stations are carried because they must, and extra fox stations like Fox news are so popular that Comcast really *will* lose customers over it. Us UFC fans are a drop in the bucket for Comcast.
10-05-2012 06:38 PM
I have sent 11 requests for comcast to add FUEL.TV and nothing. Comcast relly sucks.

Could someone please tell me if this link is for real? I saw this and it just looks too good to be true showing that we are getting Fuel in a few weeks.

That particular message was for specific geographical areas (Fuel is on Channel 111 in Houston) where certain Comcast areas are moving Fuel from the current Sports Entertainment Package to a more widely distributed package (Digital Preferred in this case); more customers in these areas will have access to Fuel starting November 15.
This is occurring for our customers in most all of the following areas: Houston-Galveston, Colorado, New Mexico and Minnesota.
11-02-2012 10:11 AM
Ok, why not other markets then? For example, the greater Philadelphia metro area to include WIlmington, DE? Why trickle the content down to specific markets when clearly there's a broader desire for the content across the entire viewing area?
11-02-2012 10:18 AM
Comcast does not care! They get your money anyway!

Carriage of this network requires a contract, commitment and recurring license fees.
Generally speaking, some reasons why this network is not available in all Comcast locations are contractual, financial, bandwidth/channel space related, required business benchmarks, perceived customer demand and interest, and other contractual commitments already underway.
We have many channels in different geographic areas that are not available in all areas, that situation is not unique to this network.
Also, each Comcast area has some level of autonomy on what channels (and the level of service) they feel are important to their customer base and to the business.
The Comcast programming teams and local management teams constantly evaluate programming choices and make decisions based on customer interests, costs, channel bandwidth management and contractual obligations. As with any business, situations may change based on any of these factors.
The Comcast employees who monitor and participate in these forums certainly pass along the collective feedback, interests and concerns to those teams.
11-02-2012 10:54 AM
Thank you for your feedback Ted.
I truly hope that they are monitoring this forum because we have been asking and asking for this channel for some time. I almost jumped the wagon of going to Direct TV as much as I had the installer come to my home yesterday. Unfortunetley, due to trees obstruction and position of my home, I could not get one of the satelites at this time. However, I am sure many UFC fans share the thought of leaving because we do not have Fuel TV. Thank you again for the update.

Ted,
How do I find out if Fuel will become available in my area? I am a St. Paul, MN subscriber. You mentioned Minnesota as a market where Fuel will gain homes in November.
11-02-2012 12:00 PM
Ted I have made many many phone calls to request FUEL TV or obtain more info about it being offered in my area. I have yet to get someone give me a coherent answer about FUEL TV. I livbe in the Phila area. Can you provide a contact number I can actualy reach and get infromation from?
11-02-2012 12:01 PM
Hello mr. Moderator ![]()
Can u give me a direct answer on if San Francisco will get FUEL TV please?
theres thousands who are fed up with not having Fuel here in SF, so it can be based off of demand & what the customers really want. Why is it that in 2012 the supposed most advanced beings can't get FUEL TV in this day & age ![]()

In areas of Minnesota (Minneapolis) where Fuel is already available on channel 740 as a part of the Sports Entertainment Package it will be moving to Digital Preferred on November 15 (and remaining on channel 740). No new areas are scheduled to add Fuel in Minnesota at this point.

We don't curently have plans to add Fuel in the San Francisco area.
11-02-2012 01:07 PM
I said I would stick around through 2012, but I am going to look into Direct and Dish come January. Comcast gets over $250 a month from me and this is the one channel I have repeatedly asked for.
No Fuel, no Comcast.
Not really mad, simply ready to make the change.
11-02-2012 01:12 PM
Without Hockey I have no reason to be loyal to Comcast. I am fed up honestly, I will also look into better options inJanuary also. Just tired of the bs.

Ted;
Is there a site or a list available of the areas that are on the schedule to receive Fuel TV? I am hoping the south east area will get Fuel TV soon, but I just dont know where to find the information.

Are there any plans for FUEL being added to the Chicagoland area?
11-11-2012 12:14 AM
How about Chicago?
Certainly there are enough sports interested individuals
to justify FuelTV here.
11-12-2012 01:20 PM
Is there any plans currently for Detroit, MI area to begin carrying Fuel TV? I too spend around $200 a month and this is the one channel I desperately want. Also ready to make the change to an opposition
11-12-2012 09:19 PM
why dont comcast offer fuel tv. so i can watch more ufc since thats where all the fights are at now
11-18-2012 02:25 PM
Hey Ted,
Why did you delete my post?
Can't defend the actions of Comcast.
Stop pretending that comcast cares about the consumer. You have had millions of people request a channel, Fuel TV, and nothing, no response to consumer demand. The cable companies should get broken up along with the big banks because when a handful of companies control the market for everyone they just do as they please regardless of the consumer.

"we don't currently have plans to add..."
translation = who cares what you want, we do what we want on our schedule. Until then here's a russian language channel about how to wear a baboushka.
Ridiculous....
I can't even get HBOGO on my Samsung tv because comcast wants money from samsung. When you're a monopoly you answer to no one.

In the most respectful tone possible to you (Ted) I must say that I am leaving Comcast as soon as I possibly can.
In the loudest most disrespectful tone to Comcast: You've stolen my money for more than 10 years now. No more!!!!!!
FuelTV or I'm gone.
- Philadelphia is a fight town.... you should understand your demographics. I know that you are leveraging the home sports teams so that we're a captive audience.... but I've had just about enough of it.
11-20-2012 02:44 PM
yeah. I would recommend leaving for another provider. My completely within-the-rules comment was deleted because I called Comcast out on these forums for their continued false advertising (all around, but specifically Fuel TV in this case). They are the most disorganized, dishonest, and often incompetent business of ANY sort that I have ever dealt with. Just get a hold of more than one person each day, and you will get the answer you want. Who knows if it will be accurate or if anybody actually knows the true story on Fuel TV. I truly hope that a class action lawsuit is brought against Comcast by somebody who has the time to record and document all of the false commercials and inept CSR reps who say just about anything.
11-20-2012 02:50 PM
Until Comcast gets over what I call "WalMart Syndrome," they will probably never make Fuel TV nationally available. I call it that because they seem to think that they are a big enough company that customer service and accountability are not requirements for running such a large business; Comcast knows that they will get another customer to replace the frustrated one that leaves for another provider. I'm not even mad that I still don't have Fuel TV as much as I am that I have been told over internet chat and told by three different CSRs that it WOULD in fact be available in Indiana by November 15th.
