that all depends on what level of service you have.
Go here put in your zip and you can see based on package what is available to you.

The Hub is carried on Digital Preferred on most systems. You would need a full cable box and subscribe to Digital Preferred.
If you subscribe to Digital Preferred, the DTA digital adapters will not tune in any tier higher than Digital Starter. A full cable box would be needed to watch The Hub.

So even if I have the preferd digital package and can view the channel upstairs with my DVR box I can't view it with the converter box downstairs?

Only a full cable box or DVR can receive Digital Preferred, Sports & Entertainment, Premiums, On Demand and Music Choice.
DTA digital adapters will only tune in most of the Digital Starter channels and nothing more. They are not a direct replacement for a full box but was designed for cable ready analog tube type TV's to continue to receive channels when the analog channels went away.

Well that's ashame, I used to get the channel before they stopped broadcasting without the converter. I have a HDTV with a built in tuner and I can't get HD channels and many of the ones including the "Hub" like I could before.
