JayinAlg, thanks for the response
Yes I have done a rescan. I had noticed that sometimes channels move.
I forgot to say that I have the limited basic subscription level. I don't know what "clearQAM" means.

Limited basic channels that are not encrypted and called clearQAM. Those are the channels a newer HDTV with a digital tuner can tune in without a cable box.
Comcast is moving to a business model of encrypting all channels including limited basic, and will need a HD cable box to continue to receive those channels once they are encrypted. Usually that will kill off all your clearQAM at the same time.
What could be happening to you is Comcast might have moved your missing channel to a frequency band that might be trapped out, since you have limited basic. A trap is put on the drop cable to block certain frequencies for limited basic or internet subscribers. If this is true, a tech visit would be needed to remove that trap. This can be difficult to get done for many, as contacting Comcast support doesn't get anyone who understands what is going on. Their bottom answer is to get a cable box, as they hardly support TV's connected directly to the coax any longer.
You will need to attempt to contact Comcast support, but you might have a difficult time.
