I'd give them a little time to work out those details as the agreement isn't finalized.

You bring up a very interesting question. I will reach out to our Programming team to see what the status will be for the League Pass.

Hi Larry- Any updates on the NBA League Pass? Or any idea when the details should be released? This is a little frustrating. I would REALLY like to purchase it for my husband for xmas, and I need to plan accordingly in advance. I'm sure there are other people who wish to do the same thing but the are waiting for the pricing details to be released. And yes I signed up for email alerts on NBA.com, but I thought since I send you a huge chunk of change (on time) every month, you guys might help me out. Thanks!

Our team is still trying to pull all the information together. Soon as I receive information I will update everyone on this.

When will NBA League Pass be offered in HD?
I'm ready and willing to give Comcast a lot of money if they'll ever offer it.
The last time there was a free preview, all the games were in standard definition.
Zip Code 24450.

I recently receive an update about the NBA League Pass:
The NBA LEAGUE PASS package will be offered as a free preview to customers with a digital converter (where available) during the following dates:

Hey ComcastLarry
Is the NBA Package going to be in HD? I would find it laughable if 'the leader in HD' doesn't have it in HD

is it really free this time? or do you have to buy the package first? to get the free preview like they did with the NHL package this year.

NBA League Pass is 4 payments of $42.25 according to the page I linked.
I really want to know if it's going to be in HD. According to the NBA product website, it says "select games" on League Pass will be HD depending on carrier/provider.
How does this translate for Comcast customers? All games? Some games? No games in HD?
Please advise.
Thanks

I know in my part of Mass. they are currently offering only 1 HD feed TEAMHD (channel 612). Wishing they would offer more HD, with both the basketball and hockey packages.

I had LP last year and assuming nothing changes, here is what it will look like.
1) Free preview will be available even if you never sign up for anything. You will just notice that the channels will automatically be activiated for you, so you can preview it accordingly. Do not have to call Comcast to set up the preview.
2) They have 10 channels set up for LP games. Of the 10 channels, only 1 channel was dedicated to HD. They typically would put the "best" game on HD. You can expect 1-2 LP games a night being broadcast in HD. I agree that it is a pain that the majority of the games are in standard definition. But with TNT HD, ESPN HD, NBA TV HD, whatever local HD channel you have for your local team, and the 1 HD channel for League Pass, you are usually able to watch most games that are of interest in HD.
3) Free broadband access with your subscription. In prior years, watching games over the internet was a joke. It has come a long way now and is actually pretty decent. It's nice for when you are on the road, but you still need a decent internet connection.

Seeing as my team is terrible (Pacers), I seriously doubt I'd get to see them in HD often.
Standard def. is awful and I'm not paying 3 figures for 20th century broadcast quality.
Apparently, after researching this elsewhere, DirecTV has most of the games in HD as opposed to 1 or 2, and Comcast doesn't because InDemand only has limited HD feeds. Not surprising given InDemand's poor quality in other respects.
