First, I did just set up a new big-screen HD TV. The picture and all the channels seem to be working fine, but when I hit guide on the remote, it looks strange. The picture looks stretched out, I only get four rows of listings and the color even looks washed out.
Has anyone else seen this? Any ideas?

The guide isn't HD, so you may need to change the way the box treats SD channels. With the TV on, turn off the box with the remote, then select "Menu". Choose the "4:3 Overrride" option you desire.

Ah, that makes sense, as far as the guide not being HD.
I looked at the menu, but I don't have any 4:3 Override options for some reason. At the very top it says PACE USER SETTINGS. Below that, I only see TV Aspect Ratio, TV Display Capability, Auto Pillarbox, Closed Captions, Front Panel Settings, HDMI Settings and Restore Defaults.

I don't have access to Pace settings. Maybe you can try some options.
