It's almost time for yet another College Football season & I would LOVE NOTHING MORE than to just put the TV on ONE channel - AND LEAVE IT THERE for all the whip-around coverage of College Football I would ever need (Or want) like we currently enjoy every Sunday with NFL RedZone
As it stands now, I have to CHANNEL HOP during commercial breaks to get the whip-around coverage of College Football I can get with just NFL RedZone alone. What's worst of all is that NOT ALL the games are on here in Denver (And like A LOT of people, I don't have the payola to shell out to ESPN itself for their PPV offerings either)
So tell us just HOW MANY MORE YEARS must we wait until you decide to bring us ESPN Goal Line? (Yes I remember roughly how long it took you to bring ESPNU to us. Don't get me started on that #Rolleyes )
Cheers ![]()

P.S. What happened to TheMtn (And to Channel 411 in general) here in Denver?
Solved! Go to Solution.

The Mtn was shut down as a regional sports network after the Mountain West Conference signed a new deal with ESPN that gave them most of the broadcast rights. Nothing Comcast can do when the programmer pulls the plug. ![]()

ESPN Goal Line is scheduled to be available to many Comcast areas by the end of August as a part of the Sports Entertainment Package.
ESPN Goal Line
The channel will operate during the College football season, providing live look-ins and analysis of games in progress. The channel will only operate on the major gamedays – from 12:00PM to 12:00AM ET on Saturdays.
The channel will take fans around the country following the day’s best matchups. No need to channel surf anymore, ESPN Goal Line can be your remote. Games featured on ESPN Goal Line will include those airing on ESPN’s networks, as well as syndicated and locally produced games from Football Bowl Subdivision conferences, capturing the best live action of the day.

Okay. Was just wondering about that. Ohh well..... *shrug*
Didn't the MWC also merge with Conference USA (Who has a MAJOR deal with FOX Sports) as well? I seem to recall this happening.....

Well I have the Sports Entertainment package (Which is how I'm able to watch The Mtn (When it was on), CBS Sports Network & the FOX College Sports channels). So I'm GLAD to hear that I won't have to be CHANNEL BOUNCING this year. That makes me a VERY Happy Camper indeed

I am a bit confused after reading your response. I know that Comcast's press release mentioned ESPN Buzzer Beater as well, and the press release made it look like ESPN Goal Line shares time 50-50 with ESPN Buzzer Beater. So will it be just one channel that switches to ESPN Buzzer Beater once college basketball starts? And another question that I don't care much about but am curious....ESPN W is officially launching later this summer and has a few things I would watch. Will Comcast be carrying the new ESPN W channel?

I just like to put it on one channel and watch football but this will be nice to watch all the touchdowns and good drives of different teams that I don't know about.

Its the end of August. Will ESPN Goal Line have its own established channel? Like NFL RedZone? If so, what is the channel?.....

ESPN Goalline could be great if it was in hd.... This absoulutely sucks! Letterboxed SD that gives me black bars on my beautiful HD screen. Comcast why are we even bothering with SD anymore. HD IS THE STANDARD. PERIOD. I can pick up a nice sized screen (60 inches) for less than a grand and sometimes even as cheap as 500 bucks. I dont understand why Comcast cant do things right from the start! I am happy to have the programming, but not in HD? Come on! You just had two full time olympic channels on in HD for a month but you cant even add ESPN Goal line in HD! Come on!
While your add it add BTN2Go access as well! :-)

I Agree - Great channel for College football fans but Hard to watch in "SD" just like "PAC12". Is there an HD channel available for ESPN Goal Line? I guess I could thru Direct TV and see if they carry it.
