i recently started watching big bang theory. tbs is showing all the shows.
i just moved from comcast to rcn. now, rcn's dvr had a function ... i would call up the guide and highlight the next showing of "big bang theory" on tbs and hit record. i could then indicate that i want to record all occurences of this show on this channel whenever time and date it occured in the future.
i can't seem to find this functionality in the comcast remote. is this possible?
thanks in advance.

Hello,
1. Click on the xfinity.tv link on the upper left hand corner
2. Login to your account
3. Click on your tv
4. setup the correct zip code for your area
5. Click on the show you want to watch and you should see record series
Follow the remaining steps and thats it.

find the show in your guide menu on the box and set up a series recording then choose new and repeats and you will get every episode.

thanks for the replies but i think you misunderstood my question.
example:
big bang theory shows on tbs at 7, 7:30, 8 & 8:30 on tuesday. to record these i have to enter the 7 as a series. then enter the 7:30 as a series. the 8 as a series. etc. it also shows on wednesday. so i have to enter wednesday's 7 as a series, etc.
i assume there is no way to enter the tuesday 7:00 show and say record every occurence of this show regardless of time on tbs.

i understand the question. If you set up the series recording to record new and repeats it will record every time the shows airs on every channel at every time, there is no need to set up a series for each time slow, it does not work that way. Since its on hiatus you will only get repeats, beware also that BBT is on 10 times a day and you can fill up your dvr in no time recording it.

i originally set up the 7 PM airing on tbs. then set it to the series recording. when i went to my future recordings. only that one occurence showed up.
and looking at the guide, none of the other airings shows as "going to be recorded".
so i went ahead and marked each show at each time on each day for series recording.

Here is the correct way to do it. find BBT on the guide, press record, then go to options from options choose series recording, it asks you what do you want to record you need to choose new and repeats and where it asks channel choose all channels not just this channel. If you do it like that you have one series recording that records the show at any time on any channel. Your way will probably work but its not the easiest way to do it.

no, my way is not the easiest. but i couldn't figure any other way to do it.
thanks for the replies, rog.
i'll delete my settings tonight and try yours.
