I only know "in May" right now. I'm sure that there will be a bigger announcement and more information as we get closer to the actual launch.

is this the same time frame for goal line and buzzer beater?
I was just curious because may is only 3 weeks away.
04-13-2012 01:51 AM
how much is buzzer beater and goaline gonna cost?
04-15-2012 02:04 AM
i subscribe to pretty much everything, but will this be an additional fee or does it come with a specific package??
04-15-2012 09:38 AM
watch espn will be included with your internet.
Espn GoalLine and Espn BuzzerBeater will more than likely be in the sports/entertainment package along with nfl redzone.

Awesome good news once again.
04-16-2012 01:16 AM
awesome.
04-23-2012 01:27 PM
is there any update? I've now been told it has been delayed indefinitely is this true?
04-24-2012 12:39 AM
thats not cool.... i really hope its not true, ive been dying to see this for a long time on my iphone....or at work.... this would make me tolerate the lack of hd a little easier with a feature like this.....
04-26-2012 01:55 AM
Can you please provide information on the delay that you have heard about? Also, it would extremely help if xfinity gave us a clue date or time frame at least.
04-27-2012 02:06 PM
Sometimes, all you have to do is ask. So I hit Feedback on WatchESPN.com... ESPN Customer Care replied this way:
As we understand it, there will be a stepped introduction on Xfinity.
Comcast Xfinity Fans projected dates for WatchESPN
April 16th – Friendly trial launch to 100.
April 19th – Friendly launch expands to 3000.
April 26th – Friendly launch expands to 30,000 subscribers.
May 8th – Comcast goes live nationally with WatchESPN.
So the third beta wave just launched yesterday, and we all get it in less than two weeks, according to ESPN Customer Care.

My body is ready for watchespn!
05-07-2012 08:28 AM
IT'S OFFICIAL. We get WatchESPN tomorrow.
ESPN just made the announcement on ESPN Radio and ESPN2's "Mike & Mike In The Morning".
05-07-2012 09:09 AM
I was hoping today. Will this be on at midnight?
05-07-2012 09:22 AM
The announcement wasn't that specific.
I'm guessing the website could go live first -- and I'll be watching the iTunes App Store for the updated WatchESPN app, as the app will have to be updated for Xfinity authentication (right now, it doesn't have it).

Tuesday, May 8 is the plan for when Comcast customers are scheduled to have access to this app and to this site.
iPhone and iPad applications can be downloaded from the App store.
Comcast customers can use their current comcast.net User Identification and password to access the site and the content without having to set up a separate account.
More info on how to set up a Comcast User ID here: https://login.comcast.net/myaccount/create-uid?exe

It has not been postponed. It is scheduled to be available to Comcast customers by Noon today, May 8.
UPDATE:
For iPhone and iPad you will need version 1.6 for WatchESPN which was released today.
It may take some time for the new version to go out across all of their servers, but still should be today in all locations.
Have you tried it now online? http://espn.go.com/watchespn/getaccess
Then click Watch Now in the upper right.
