Phone can no longer login at m.comcast.net -- db issue?

A few weeks ago, my Blackberry Curve 8530 suddenly stopped being able to login to email at the m.comcast.net mobile site.  When I try to login, I get the error message, "Username and password do not match.  Please try again."  I had not changed my password, and could still access my comcast email via Outlook and through the Internet at comcast.net on my PC.

 

Today I reset my password (which now must meet different requirements) and rebooted my phone twice, but it didn't make any difference.  My phone still can't login to email at m.comcast.net.  although I can still access my comcast email via Outlook and through the Internet at comcast.net on my PC. I do not use an email app on my phone.  My carrier is Sprint/Nextel.  I do not use Outlook Express on my PC.

 

I cannot upgrade to the new Xfinity Mobile App because it does not support my phone model.

 

I tried calling Comcast tech support.  They say nothing is wrong with their mobile site, so I must contact their Signature Support (for which I must pay) to debug problems with a wireless device.

 

I can find posts on this forum and elsewhere on the Internet from other Blackberry users (and people with other phones) having the same problem.  It seems to have started near the end of March 2012.  This may be a problem with the password database for mobile devices.  Comcast, please help.

I am having the same problem. I posted this in the newsgroup where there were password and username error message with emails and a comcast employee by the name comcast jordan said, "That it was not a similiar issue" I was told to contact comcast security dept. but I know it has nothing to do with a security issue. I have also advised to contact the forum admin comastlarry to escalate this issue to someone can fix this. I am also not able to login to the forums.comcast.com site.

The only way we can get this issue resolved is for all blackberry user having this issue is to forward your concern to comcastlarry who is the admin and he will forward it to the proper persons to get it resolved. So far I have not got any acknowledgement of him receiving my previous email.

You might also try sending a private message to comcastjordan and mention your problem to him.

are you trying to access your mail through the comcast website or are you using the mobile site throught the email app on your phone?

 

try clearing your cache and cookies, do a phone reset and try again.

, I do not have an email app on my phone.  I am using my phone's browser to navigate to m.comcast.net, clicking on the "email" link on the Xfinity mobile menu, then trying to login.

 

I have cleared my phone browser's cache, history and cookies, and rebooted the phone.  That does not fix the problem.

 

, I will try escalating this issue.

Thanks I have tried this numberous of times and I am access this through my mobile site for the m.comcast.net and from the forum.comcast.com site I am using my phone and the default browser. This is the same issue that other users are having. Hope someone will take a look and try to fix it.

Exactly the same issue.  It all began when we were forced to make a password change.

Have cleared cache, cookies, rebooted, etc, etc with no change.

Have to use the browser on the phone since Comcast does not support our models of phone.

I have a BB Bold and am having the same issues! As noted it started in mid-late March. I have tried resetting my password, doing a battery pull,etc, but to no avail. I don't want to install an app just to read email. Using the brows in my phone was great! Please fix it!
