I just moved to a new condo and moved my Comcast service. I used to have internet only but I added TV when I was moving. When I set everything up over the phone, I asked specifically for no contract TV service and I was assured there would not be any contract term.
Guess what, I entered a 2 year contract term. I never agreed to this, and in fact, I was very careful to make sure that this was not the case.
What's up Comcast?

I think that link shows information for new customers, not exisiting customers.

I somehow entered into a two year agreement, and we specifically signed up for a 1 year agreement with 6 months HBO. So can you please explain, how this is happening to multiple people?
