$250 rebate

Anyone having problems with getting rebates?

I have been battling them with live chats and phone calls. They say it is processed and to check their rebate site, my status has not changed for over a month now. Is this a scam for those who will not pursue the issue or just plain forget they have a rebate due?

Re: $250 rebate

I have the same problem.  Have been trying for 2 weeks now.  All I get is a supervisor will call back (hasn't happened in two weeks) or I don't have a contract so I am not elligible.  Of course when I ask to cancel my service they tell me I do have a contract.  So which is it Comcast, you can't have it both ways.  Send me my rebate or let me cancel the service.

The card showed up! Don't let them win! The last thing I did was email the link provided in this thread. Good Luck to all.

Re: $250 rebate

It shouldn't be this hard. They keep touting this customer service policy and I feel like it is a hidden revolving door policy. "Keep passing the customer on, they will eventually tire of it and give up!"

Re: $250 rebate

I have been trying to get someone at Comcast to answer this question for over a week now. I'm glad I found it on the forum. Did you have any luck getting your rebate? And if so, can you pass along any tips? When I originally signed up (in January 2011) I was told that I had to have an account in good standing for one year--which seemed reasonable to me. Now it has been well over a year, my bill for my bundle jumped from $150 to $201 in December, and I can't seem to get any resolution to anything I call to ask for!! Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Unfortunately I cannot sit on the phone for hours being passed from one rep to another and still not get any new or useful information!! Thanks!

Re: $250 rebate

Within a couple of days of posting on this website I rec'd a phone call from comcast. They apologized profusely and promised a credit to my account in replacement of the Visa card. I am happy with that, so we will see if it shows up on my bill. I'd been trying since June of 2011

Re: $250 rebate

I have been having the same problem. I signed up online in September 2011 with a $75 visa giftcard promotion. I have called 4 times in the past 3 weeks checking on the status and have been transferred between customer service reps and put on hold for 20 minutes at a time. I have been promised a phone call back from a supervisor by a rude customer service rep twice with no call back. Comcast is terrible and I am not giving up until I get the gift card or a credit to my account! such a waste of time!

This is the link I was given to send an email to. I did get my rebate. Funny thing though....I received calls from a rep months later letting me know she got my info about my card, I had already spent it! These jokers are doing everything in their power to "not" let people get there rebates. I am responding to this thread because Comcast let me know that the "Forums team" is aware of my issue!!!! I began this thread in January!

Thanks "Team" way to do your JOB......not

Re: $250 rebate

I am happy to say I finally resolved my issue with Comcast.  One of the customer service agents (after I told him we would be cancelling our service and going to DirectTv) said he would look into it by going back and reviewing the recorded conversation.  Turns out he did find the tape and their agent did something incorrectly so they credited my account with the amount due and didn't make me take out a 2 year contract.  It took some time and patience but in the end I found a good agent willing to help.

Re: $250 rebate

I signed up for comcast March 2012, was told to pay 90 days and card will be issued. I have auto pay and has paid 4 months on time and here it is the end of July and still has not received my rebate. I was told on the 17th of july it was going to be expidited and I should receive within two weeks. I called today and was told it will take at least 6 weeks, I should receive it by the 1st week in september.  I think this is sad and should not be tolerated. Something needs to be done. I will let all my friends know on facebook do not get comcast because they are not true to their word.

Re: $250 rebate

I signed a contract with Comcast early in the year with the incentive of a $250 Visa rebate and still nothing. I was told I would receive it within 60 days by the salesperson who sold me the package. I called back after 2 months and they told me it would be 90 days from the date of activation until I receive the gift card. 90 days have come and gone and I have not received a thing! I am so annoyed at the lack of professionalism and knowledge that the customer service reps have displayed and I am extremely disappointed that such a large reputable company would promise this reward and not follow through. Since I have gone through a similar situation with Tmobile in the past I did record my initial phone contract in which the comcast salesperson outlines the Visa Gift Card incentive as part of my contract. If you are going through this situation be sure to document all phone calls and emails if possible.I have already given my paper trail to my attorney so that if comcast does not follow through with their "sign up reward" I have legal reason to rescind my contract.

Re: $250 rebate

I followed those steps I received a phone call early this morning, when I got the voicemail (which was about 5 minutes after the rep called) I called back and got no answer. That was 9:00 this morning. After 5 more tries I still have not spoke to the person that called me this morning. I called comcast support to see if they could help and they said no that I would have to talk to the person who called . So, I don't know what to do now. I guess I will wait until I hear back from the rep.

It is highly possible that whoever called you is not in the office now- It is the weekend.  See if you get a call on Monday.

Re: $250 rebate

So, I finally spoke to a representative and he told me that my $250 gift card would be on its way which was great. However, I just got an email from the rebate department saying that I will be receiving IPOD touch within 4-6 weeks. WHY am I getting an ipod, when I am supposed to be getting a $250 Visa gift card? That was not what was agreed upon when signing up for my service! I am livid to say the least. I will be calling the CSR back again tomorrow, this whole thing is so frustrating.

Re: $250 rebate

I had Comcast installed and activated on 7/20/12 and have never received the Rebate promised.  I have called and called, trying to get my $250 Rebate card, and get a different excuse with each call.  First, they told me I hadn't completed the 90 waiting period.  That was OK.  Then I called back after 90 days, and was told that it would take another 16 to 18 weeks for Comcast to authorize the card company to mail my card.  I called again yesterday, and was told that I never signed a contract, so I am not eligible for the Rebate at all!!!  They offered me a credit of $100, which I refused.  That is not what I was promised when I signed up for Comcast!  I spoke to several supervisors (All of whom sounded like the same person) and they all told me the same story.  I asked for the recording of the transaction, which they had mentioned in the beginning, only to be told that they could not supply that.  This is a joke!  Any suggestions???

Re: $250 rebate

I too signed up in July of 2012. Comcast called me and told me I would get the rebate. Reassured me that I did not have to sign a contract. I have called, did online chat, wrote letters. I am so disgusted with Comcast. I sent another email. Soon as I get my rebate I am going with another company.
