Being a long time prompt paying customer means nothing to comcast they cant service their areas because greed prevents them from having enough manpower to properly see that customers are satisfied --------- for instance i would be willing to bet if a service tech were enroute to a long time customer and and a call comes in for a new install hey cancell the repair call we smell money for a new hookup --------- maybe windstream/dish tv would be a better choice

Nope, techs don't get rerouted for new installs. In most areas contractors do many of the installs and the techs mostly do trouble calls. If you aren't happy with your service, then by all means find another provider. You shouldn't be aggravated by bad service.
