My parents recently switched to Comcast from Qwest/DirectTV based on my recommendation. They are now being told they owe an early termination fee for cancelling their high-speed internet from Qwest. Their comcast installer told them that Comcast has programs where they will pay for the early termination fee of people who switch to Comcast. Is this true? If so, how do they go about getting this?

Welcome to the forums. This is mainly a customer to customer help site. You may need to call and ask about that policy. I will notify the forum administrator on this and he may be able to give you some more information. He is a Comcast employee, they normally don't watch all the forum threads for issues. He should get back to you tomorrow so keep an eye on this thread for feedback.

Hi Donin - can you email me your parents' account information? I am not aware of such a program, but I would like to have someone look into this.
