Looking for alternative to Comcast

I'm tired of constantly losing my internet connection. Comcast gives inconsistent service but expects payment in full each month. I'm currently monitoring an email chat going on between other neighbors complaining about the same thing. The neighbourhood got together and complained last year and they still have crappy service. I recently moved to another home in the same town and still get the same off and on connection **bleep**.

Why are we not rebated for **bleep** service?

Re: Looking for alternative to Comcast

Up to you, but you may want to post your connection problems in the Internet Connection Forum for help. clickable link  There are two sticky threads at the top of the Forum you may want to read as well.  The first is troubleshooting your connection and the second one details what information one of the Connection Experts will need to help you.

Need Email Help? Please post the following information in your post.
Do you use XfinityConnect? The Full or Lite version?
Do you use an email client? Which one? (Eg; Windows Live mail, Outlook, a smartphone etc.)
Which browser/version do you use? And- have you cleared your browser cache?
Which operating system? XP, Vista, Windows 7, Mac OS X
Details of the problem you are having.

You could go to the connection forum and ask for help from other customers.

My experience has been that if your service is out, once it is fixed Comcast will credit the bill for the period the service was out.

What have you done to fix the connection issues?

See above. This has not been my experience.

One thing is for sure. Ranting about the service will do little to get it fixed. Go over to the connection forum and someone there may be able to offer assistance. Make sure you post the info requested such as modem signal levels and equipment/connection details.
