Lousy home alarm installation service--2 no shows in one week

Last week a Comcast rep came to my house to promote the new home alarm service.  I made an appointment on Wednesday, June 27 for a morning installation.  I made it clear that the installation would have to be complete by 1:00 so that I could make an appointment.  At 12:56, the subcontractor who was supposed to install the system called to say that he would not be at my house until 1:30.  I called Comcast to see what could be done and after effusive apologies, I was told that this was a new service that and that no one knew much about it.  Not a good sign.  A supervisor at Comcast called an installation supervisor who promised to be at my house between 8:00 and 9:00 Friday June 29th.  At 9:00 the installer called to let me know that he would not be at my house for several hours and that the job could not be done by 1:00 when I need to leave for a meeting.

 

Again, I called Comcast to see what had gone wrong the second time.  I spoke with a supervisor named Damien in Mexico who couldn't fix things for me today.  He rescheduled my installation for Monday morning.  I explained that it would have to begin at 8:00 because I would have to leave the house at 1:30 for an appointment.   I'm beginning to wonder if this will ever happen and if COMCAST/Xfininity is really ready to offer this service.  I'm a long time COMCAST customer; but, I'm looking around today for a more reliable service provider.  COMCAST hasn't earned my confidence that they can actually protect my home.

i set up an appointment today and they gave me 4 hour time frame (8am-12noon).they called around 10:30 saying that they are too busy and that they can't make it to my house after 6pm tonight! i called cmcast and they said that the technician will come sooner. then i got a text frm my husband saying that the tchnician will be here after 2pm. i told my husband to call them back and say we don't want their service.
