Message Left on Answering Service While Service Was OUT!

If this wasn't so pitiful it'd be funny.  As it stands, it's more like a tiny skit on Saturday Night Live.

Last week I called (from my cell phone) to report that our entire Comcast Package was out of comission (Phone, Cable and Internet).

I gave SPECIFIC instructions to EVERY Rep I talked to (4 of them) that they were to call my CELL Phone for any questions and even told them why -- our HOME PHONE service wasn't working!

What happened?  After getting our service back up and running I check the Comcast Voice Mailbox and find, you guessed it, 4 calls from COMCAST that said, among other things (paraphrased):

1) I HAD to make a choice from one of the telephone prompts.

2) Failure to respond to the call might result in a cancellation of the technician being routed to my home.

NOT a SINGLE call was made to my CELL PHONE (as I requested).

Ah well... Fiction never lives up to the hilarity of life does it?

Yup, Comcast strikes again.  As you wrote, those are purely ROBO calls.  When you access your Comcast account online, can you make your cell phone as primary and your Comcast VOIP secondary or alternate?

Can you set up your Comcast phone so that if your internet is out, your calls get routed to another phone such as your cell instead of VM?

So sorry - whatever can go wrong ...and all that.

Please", "thank you" and "you're welcome" never go out of style.
