I have bought a new home/ farm that is located in Fauquier County Virginia on the line with prince william. I dont see coax on the pole that my power comes from but I see it literally 6 poles away at the fauquier / prince william line. What is the process to have the service brought to the home? There are a few other homes on the way that would benefit from this also.
Thanks
SOKO

Start with calling 1-800- COMCAST during regular business hours. If you have a comcast office nearby, go in and talk to them there. People have posted having difficulty getting pole work done.

I don't know, ask them.

Hello,
You can give this a try but it might be useless because all what they do is pass the buck.
The easiest method would be to write an e-mail similar to your post to "we_can_help@cable.comcast.com". They are a corporate group and may not get your e-mail until Monday, but they will be able to find the right local people to assist you and follow up with them if things get lost. You could also post in the Comcast Direct forum here, »
Comcast Direct which is monitored by the same group.

Try everything, but I think your local office is the best bet.

I believe they need to ask for a survey for a new service line. Possibly Engineering Department.

Just call 1-800-COMCAST (1-800-266-2278) or 1-800-XFINITY (1-800-934-6489) and tell them you want new service. A tech will be dispatched to do a site survey. He'll then pass it along to the construction/engineering department. They will contact you to let you know if it's possible to service your house and how much it will cost, if anything. The process usually take s a couple of weeks.
