I think its pretty crappy that you have to have a box to view any channels. When we bought the package we had channels on bedrooms, not prime channels but at least we had channels, now they are all gone. Making changes after we get sucked in just plain SUCKS! All because COMCAST NEEDS more money..I will be looking for a different carrier THIS WEEK!!!!!!!!

Don't shoot the messenger but Comcast was acutally the last carrier to not require a cable box of some kind. No matter where you go you will need a box.

Not to make you look too incredibly silly, but Comcast is offering the simple digital boxes for free for older TVs. So... they really aren;'t getting any more money out of you for this.

It is incredibly annoying isn't it? I HATE HATE HATE this whole digital switchover thing. I have had nothing but problems ever since the switch to digital.
Anyway... call them and request them to send you "a Digital Transport Adapter" - you can get two of them for free, and there should not be a monthly charge. Hook your two other TVs up to it, now you will get all of the same channels on those TVs. You will not get the on-screen guide, not get the on-demand, and the picture won't be high-definition on those TVs but you will have the channels. You just have to have a cable wire and the Digital Transport Adapter and it should work for you.

I know...I came home today to find out that they took the Soapnet channel off and put on some stupid disney channel....i watch one particular show on that channel everyday and TIVO also, I do not watch disney thats for sure, the prices keep going up and channel are getting worse, im also paying for like 60 spanish channels that I do not watch or understand, LOL...but can't keep Soapnet...cut me a freaking break..i would love to go to someone else, but they dont cover my area and DIRECT TV or DISH is not an option...comcast is just getting worse and worse, maybe they should listen to their customers once in a while
