My husband doesn't see very well and ordered a movie by mistake which cost us something like 14.00 extra. Is there a was to turn this option off? He didn't know he did it and didn't watch it.

You can go to "parental controls" on your cable box and change settings. You can require a PIN number to order movies. That makes it a lot harder to accidentally order a movie. You can call 1800-XFINITY for help with this. If you didn't watch the movie you ordered, they will take it off your bill too.
