I currently have, installed, an Arris modem with the telephone support that belongs to COMCAST. Given that all the "hard work" of making sure that the signal levels are appropriate and that the household dial tone is not "leaking" back into the local hardwired telephone lines, is there any reason why I cannot replace the Arris with a Motorola modem by myself?
The Motorola (with telephone support) is the same model COMCAST initally installed when I got the phone service.

Do you use XfinityConnect? The Full or Lite version?
Do you use an email client? Which one? (Eg; Windows Live mail, Outlook, a smartphone etc.)
Which browser/version do you use? And- have you cleared your browser cache?
Which operating system? XP, Vista, Windows 7, Mac OS X
Details of the problem you are having.
