comcast has been nickel and dimeing me to death since i first signed on. i just got an hd tv so i obtained a digital box. i have 3 other tvs that are old timey but they wanted to charge me about $10 dollars for each box, i declined and got those little boxes that used to be free but now are 1.99/month. now i can only get hbo on the digital box. it would have cost me $40 for a $10 hbo deal. all of their upgraded technology only serves to screw the customer. i dont think i will hang on much longer. do you ever notice that in all their surveys they never have the cost question.

for your hd tv you would need an hd box not a digital box first of all. Also the dta boxes are free for up to 3 in most markets so why they told you, you need to pay is beyond me. you can only get tv on the digital boxes that is a fact. I don't see what the problem is. Your main tv is hd, you should have an HD box there, you don't you only have a digital box unless what you posted is not correct? in order to get hbo on any other tv you need at a minimum a digital box which rents for 9.99 a month that is a fact and that is just how it is. Those facts have nothing to do with upgrades to technology that is how it has always been.

DTAs in my market were only 2 free, others beyond that number are $1.99 each. I have to check old bills but they may be eliminating the 2 free after July 1st...which was 6 days ago.
Also isn't any full Set Top Box a digital box?
