Too many boxes, on on Direct TV!

Just spent 2 hours attempting to hook up the little boxes after Comcast disabled two of my TV's so they could sell more boxes.

After two hours I disconnected everything and am calling Direct TV!!!!

If Comcast wants tthem in (they are doing it to avoid "theft of service" , not for the benefit of the customer!), I am tired of it and am goind with Direct TV

Re: Too many boxes, on on Direct TV!

comcast was the last provider to make boxes a requirement.  anywhere you go you will need a box directv or any place else.  Those boxes are given to you free,l they are intendented for older tv's to still get a signal, any newer tv will always want a digital box if you dont have one you are wasting your time with any new tv.  the same is true for directv.   they will require you to have a box on every tv, and if you live in a cold climate when it snows you have to get the snow off the dish to get reception so make sure you get a long pole
