well it seems the one channel i do watch on cable (history) for some reason has no sound today.
so in between internet outtages.. i spose i have to deal with no sound now on the single channel i do watch.
is it too much to ask for you to stop updating to craap people do not want and fix what you currently have that does not work and make some kind of attempt to make your current customers happy?

im not using a box.
as of right now a box is not required to watch history channel. but sound stopped working on it early yesterday in the am and its 4 30 am right now my time and sound has been off on the channel all day.
picture is crystal clear... just no sound.
tried the tv i do have a box on and its the same thing... no sound.

It is unusual for just 1 channel to have no sound. The fact that you have 2 TV's connected differently is very strange. Even a signal problem wouldn't do that. Can you ask a neighbor if they have sound on that channel. You may have to call Comcast, but I am sure they will act brain dead.

day 3 no sound..... picture is still crystal clear.
the problem is i shouldnt have to call my friends or neighbors about a service that cost so much every month.
my grandmother opened this comcast account in 1985 (wasnt comcast in my area at the time) and i took it over 2 years ago give or take a few months and the service has been bad from the start. the response has been bad.
at this point if comcast wants to keep me as a customer they are going to have to give me a price that reflects the service i have recieved for the last 2 years. a 20 dollar credit just doesnt cut it... first month fine.... 2nd month kinda annoying... 2 years later uncalled for and a lack of respect for its customers.

You are right,Comcast should care and do something to fix your issue. The fact is, they do not care and you can't make them change. They will not charge you less because of poor service. Because of that , customers post on these forums trouble shooting ideas. Finding out if the problem is in your neighborhood or just in your house will help identify a solution.

im not paying... comcast just called about a payment and i hate to break it to them im not going to pay it until the service i have payed for works. and i hate to be the guy that complains. but this service is for the birds. if they want to lose a long time family customer its fine by me. i have had it with them.

i have had my lines tested.
im not the only one that has stability issues with the internet... i have a few friends that use comcast also and have had the same if not worse problems.
08-15-2012 08:49 PM
How were your lines tested? Did you have a tech out and show them the problem? Are you having a sound problem or an internet problem? What do your friends issues have to do with your issues?

because when you talk to comcast you always get the same thing "no one else in your area is having problems... seems to be a isolated problem" which is bs and i know it. because of problems friends have had.
i have called tech support countless times and they always want to send a tech out.. which they have done before.
ohhh and another day down... no sound.
i sent a email to comcast executive office.. they sent me a letter because they said they could not get ahold of me, i called loretta france @ 1-734-667-1014 and left a message 2 days ago for a call back and i have not heard from her.
but i suppose the constant up and down internet, the only channel i watch and the no call back is just a isolated problem.

8/21 still no sound... still no call back from loretta.i refuse to pay for a service that does not work like im paying for it too.
