internet up and down yet again.

 comcast i refuse to pay for a service that is in such bad shape. at this point i do not even consider this a service. its a hastle. i have techs telling me on the phone that i am the only person in the area having a issue which is a lie. 2 of my friends that use comcast that have issues also.

Stop offering new services when you cant make your old services work.

offer the people who have put up with your poor perfomance rates that reflect the type of service they have recieved.

Re: internet up and down yet again.

please post what the technician that you called to troubleshoot this issue said after they came to your home.   Issues like this do not fix themselves you are having a signal issue.

Although it isn't obvious, this forum is generally a customer to customer forum and is not actively monitored by Comcast. Although Comcast employees (their usernames are in red) are often here to help, they may not see your specific post.

 To get help, you can drop a note to Comcast corporate customer service (we_can_help@cable.comcast.com).

For the quickest response, please include:
Your full name;
Service address;
Phone number & an alternate number if possible;
Account number;
A link to your post.

Re: internet up and down yet again.

not sure about your level of troubleshooting but when the service is up open a Command prompt ie the black DOS window by doing Start / Run / CMD

then type the following command

PING www.yahoo.com -t

this will PING ie contact ie and echo back a reply, the -t option means for even, sit there and watch the screen and you should see something like this

see how my signal got dropped all of a sudden, I am in the same boat as you bud, except I know how to catch them with their pants down, hope that helps, it's fun to do it when you have them on the phone, and they are telling you your service is up and fine, LOL

Re: internet up and down yet again.
