Attachments failure in e-mail

I am attempting to send pictures with my e-mail.  When I click attachments, nothing happens.  It will not allow me to send attachments.

Assuming you are using the full version of XfinityConnect-????

How large are the pictures? The Comcast limit for email is 10 MB's. Are you getting any error messages at all?

What is happening when you try to attach a file? It helps to provide specifics.

Nothing happens when I click on the attach icon.  It will not bring up the attach screen.  Any help?  I have not changed anything on the computer, no new software, etc.  Thanks.

Re: Attachments failure in e-mail

Hold down the ctrl or shift key while clicking browse. If it opens your computer is seeing it as a popup.

And if it is seen as a popup, you can do the following:

If you are using the Internet Explorer pop up blocker included with Service Pack 2 or Service Pack 3
these instructions work with IE6, IE7 and IE8.

Go to Tools at the top of this page.

Internet Options/Privacy tab.

Click on Settings in Pop-up Blocker.

Add the following to the Allow line:

*.mail.comcast.net

Close out Internet Options, see if the messages (or attachments) will open.

If you use a different blocker, just look on the bottom of the page to see if you get a notification that one has been blocked when you click on attach. If you do, you can usually click the notification icon and will be able to allow pop ups from *.mail.comcast.net

Post back with the name of the one you use if you can't figure it out, and someone will help you.

If you use a different browser and need to find out how to allow post the name of the browser.

Re: Attachments failure in e-mail

More information.....I do not get a pop up messsage.  I added the site to allow pop ups but that did not  help.  I turned off the pop up blocker, that did not help.  My yahoo email works fine but on comcast when I click on attachment nothing happens.  I am running XP and it is up to date.  I have not made any changes in the computer, this just stopped working yesterday.  Any other ideas?  Many thanks  WA8NNX
