Calendar's Task List

I started using the Task List for the first time.

 

Will it send an alert, or must I keep checking it?

Why not create a task that's due very soon, then see what happens?

I attempted to run a test, but unfortunately a Due Date cannot be entered into my Task List.

 

As the Task List does not appear to be usable at my end, I'm closing this request.  If anyone has contradictory or additional input about using the Task List, please add a reply.
