I apparently changed a setting on my computer and now I cannot stay logged in to my Xfinity email account. I tried everything I could think of, but I still have to log in each time I want to use my email. I check "remember me" each time, yet I still have to log in. Can anyone help? I know it is something simple, but I cannot seem to find it.

Check your browser settings.
The Remember Me functionality is done via a Comcast cookie. If you delete your Comcast cookies, you lose that remembered userid.
If your browser is set to delete cookies automatically at closure, that will do it as well.
I'm using this software called Lastpass (https://lastpass.com/) which is great. It is a password manager that makes web browsing easier and more secure. All you have to do is remember one password and you can log into the various sites where you have userids and passwords with a single-click.

Thank you, JR071702. That solves the mystery. I was having trouble downloading a game and was advised by tech support to delete all of my cookies. I haven't tried it yet, but that has to be the problem. Thank you again for your quick response.
Thank you CCCCarole for your input. Sounds like a program I need. Definitely worth a look.

I know this is a dumb question but I , too, have to constantly log in to Comcast. How do I check my browser settings to make sure the Comcast cookie is enabled? Thanks.

Hi, I tried to allow the Comcast cookie and it only worked once. I began having other problems and found out my computer had something similar to a virus, but I cannot recall what it was called. It acted like a virus and most likely rode in on an email attachment. I hope this isn't your problem.
To answer your question, open Internet Explorer, click on Tools, then click on Internet Options.
Click on the Privacy tab and make sure your slider is in the middle so you will not block or allow all cookies.
Under the slider you will see "sites." Click on sites. In the address box, type the Comcast website address, then click Allow.
When I tried that, a list of web pages came up that I had visited in the past and all I had to do was click on the Comcast web address. It was automatically added to the box. Click allow, then okay.
FYI, when I first tried this, I typed in every variation of Comcast email that I could find. I used http://www.comcast.net; and http://xfinity.connect.mail.comcast.net, and several others that I cannot recall.
Another tidbit - I found a free download called Norton Power Eraser. It finds the deeply embedded viruses and other problems that don't always show up by regular virus detection. That is how I found out that my computer had a problem that did not show up on my virus scan.
I am still new at this, so if I gave incorrect information or not enough information, feel free to chime in. I hope this works for you.

I didn't change anything, but now I don't stay logged in longer than a day. Wasn't like this a few weeks ago.

I am frustrated by this too! I want to stay logged in. Some of the suggestions here are probably helpful if you use a PC, but I use a Mac, so I don't use Explorer and I don't need Norton. Any suggestions? I'm so tired of having to jump through all the log-in hoops every time it drops me out......

Having the same problem. All other passwords and log-ins work. However comcast/xfinity makes me log in every time no matter what I do. Once I log off, or shut down the computer, I have to re-enter my password. this is getting old! the only site that has this problem.

I don't even log off - it just drops me, even though I select the "keep me logged in" option. And logging in is much more laborious on this site than on any other site I use.

Let me be the first to thank xfinity for not responding to any of the problem or post. I even tried to contact them on the 'help' site. NOTHING.
Comcast is better than this------- or at least it was

I received an email saying this was a solution to my problem, but it's not. My browser remembers cookies, and it's not a question of the site remembering my password - that works. The Xfinity site logs me out without my telling it to, and I want that to stop.
One of the reasons that's inconvenient is that it takes so many clicks to log back in, and it requires 3 browser tabs to do it - can't figure that one out. I leave a tab open so I can glance at it to see when I have a new message while I'm doing other things, and at least once a day (but usually more) I glance at it and find that it needs me to sign in again. I also use Yahoo! mail, and it doesn't ever do that. Every couple of weeks it will ask for my password again, but it does so without throwing me out of my inbox and makes it very simple to get back in - one step, and just a couple of seconds.
How about it, Comcast?
